All these years, all the members have worked to improve their skills. Mitch worked on getting one octave lower, Matt like Scott worked on singing higher and lower while Kirstin now can cover all the soprano rranges. Kevin did not sing much till he joined. After lessons from Matt,Mitch and Scott, he now sings well and has the honest pitch. Scott also added more grit

Scott is a prolific songwriter. He has written songs for Kelly Clarkson and Meghan Trainer and other singers. He once mentioned I read, he has a notebook with over 200 songs

Girl Named Tom won The Voice. I saw a concert on that tour and it was amazing. This song is an original and there’s a special live version where Scott’s dad plays the guitar while they sing. It’s such a sweet and touching song. I lost my mom in 2013 and I always think of her when I hear this song. Thank you for reacting to it.

Love this song. This performance is from 2022. They also performed it in 2021 when the Evergreen album first came out. The last show of that tour was in the Trio's hometown, and they had Scott's dad come on stage with them to play guitar with them. Scott and Mitch's families were there for that show, too. Kirstin absolutely killed this one! Love Scott's little smile at her as she starts her belt. This song is from the musical "Rent". They performed it for "A Capital Fourth" (4th of July celebration) program on PBS in 2021 which was the 25th anniversary of the debut of the musical.

I have seen a live version. They were perfect. Also called the Breath, Mitch, Breath video. They had to lug a portable generator around for hours to find a stream to film. They never found it

This just turns an old traditional carol on it's head and is all the better for it . I believe Kevin had a big hand in the arrangement with Ben Bram, sometimes called the 6th Pentatonix member and their producer/arranger. Kevin's dad is Nigerian and his mom is from Grenada in the West Indies and the arrangement is , to me , a celebration of both cultures with it's Afro-Caribbean vibe . Glad you enjoyed it , it's one of my favorites of theirs .

Love this one! Kirstie killed it! This is a song from the musical, Rent, and I believe the choir is from the show. An amazing song by Scott is his cover of I Should Tell Yo Momma On You by Red. It’s an odd song but Scott’s bass stamina is remarkable. And PTX doing Star Wars on the Grammys is really fun.

I believe that is Ben Hausdorff in costume, Kirstin’s now-husband. For a while he was the band’s videographer and helped coordinate tours. Someone correct me if I have any of those facts incorrect.

Girl Named Tom is the sibling trio that opened for PTX on this tour. They won some singing competition - I can’t remember which one. They also participated in a few PTX numbers like this one - normally for this song it is accompanied by a guitar. They were really good, and earned a new fan after I saw this concert in NC.
