Patches our Australian Shepard also herds people and other pets, is affectionate and loves attention and hugs, guards and protects us against the evil UPS trucks. He plays and follows, sheds hair every damn where and is a super smart doggo that loves to take walks and has been easy to train and can do lots of tricks.

They seem chill first time owner nope ive had Dogs b 4 but not this kind yet from what i understand very inteligent and lots of energy so i have to consider tht also focus on training because they catch on pretty. Fast . some even say "its as dow they are thinking ahead almost like saying please challange mee . well did i get it ruffy right ??

This is a very small eyesore, all things considered. Anything chewable is tasty, especially when you dare to turn your attention to something else. If it's made of delicious wood and it's within reach just assume it's already gone.

My Border Collie, Coco, lived to be 16 and was active till the day she died. She would watch TV with me and attack the animals on the screen, which I had to wipe down on a regular basis to remove the nose marks. Funnily, she was fascinated by couples kissing on-screen. Go figure.

It’s a cute video, but more than half of the behaviorisms are not Collie-specific, but rather the result of poor leadership and no rules or boundaries for them. Even the herding in the house can be redirected, they have never learned or experienced that their skills are needed anywhere, so they use them whenever they want or feel compelled, but it is possible to “explain” to them that in the house, herding is not permitted. It is best though to find an activity for them outside where they can herd. Some sheep herders will offer to have dogs herd their animals for example, so they feel like they have a job for at least one day a week or so. It will help them be more relaxed in the house because the herding instinct is directed to something that feels useful to them. You can also teach them to respect boundaries without setting up fences in your house, just by teaching them that you do not want them there at this moment or in this agitated state. I would suggest to contact a dog behaviorist or psychologist or a good dog trainer that understands the dogs’ language and needs and can read the dogs’ emotional states. Still, your dogs do not seem to be unhappy, so if you are happy the way it is, disregard ;)
