This is not the traditional Gibson wine red color. Wine red is more of a burgundy. This is simply red. A beautiful finish, great work, but not Gibson's "Wine Red".

Hi J66G! Which router-bit do you use exactly? You wrote "festool ø8x30 for deep holes". In the video, the bit looks actually very long, but the ones I found from festool are ony about 56 mm long all in all. Can you give an exact name or even better a link to a bit? Many thanks in advance!

good video. I found that epic music like muse helps the build process too. I find myself going between muse, and yngwie during tedious moments.

I am using: RhinoCAM plugin in Rhino, and MACH3 to control the CNC.

I use a 0.58 mm endmill. Cutting depth 0.4 mm, several passes. Speed 250 mm/min. 20000 rpm. The mill will last about 3-4 fret board.

@poopdood321JP I leave some tabs to hold the body. The wood is oriented via some 6mm pins in steel in a tight fit . This way I can turn it round as I wish, an keep it oriented.
@IchigoIchigo313 жыл бұрын
nice. But how do you go about taking it completely off of the excess wood? Do you cut it out at full depth? Wouldn't the work move a little as its being cut since its not being held down (the guitar part that is)?
