I am going to try this before replacing all the tubes in my Marshall 40c. It only happens on the gain switch, after plugging in the guitar.. the amp is basically new. But I bought it back in 2013. Getting into playing again and learning from all the vids. I did the the gentle tube test with the wooden chopstick and there was no noise or metal shards at the bottom. Amp has maybe 15 hours after all these years and neatly stored. Thank you.

When I put a new starter on my virago 750 I disconnected the clutch cable on the lever inside the housing so it wouldn't be in the way now I'm having trouble getting my clutch lever in the correct position. The clutch lever inside the housing rotates that part with the ball bearings. I don't know if I've described it well enough. Can you recommend a fix where I don't have to take the side off the engine again? Also can you recommend a place to get a new spring for the clutch lever inside, and somewhere I can get a gasket so I don't have to use Silicone again?

I need help!! I only made it to removing the shifter rod and decided this job is not for me. Problem is, theres something wrong with the shifter rod now. I reinstalled it just the way it came out, but truck is acting like its stuck in gear when it should be in neutral, also the shift pattern is all screwed up, like it wont go in any gears except right to right, but not down only goes right. Any ideas? I need this fixed so i can drive to mechanic. Why did i even fuck with it!!!!

Hard start should only go to contactor and herm. Taking it to common of capacitor negates the purpose. You want the hard start in parallel not series with capacitor

Acrylic enamel - gas will destroy it. You need 2 part "2k" that chemically hardens when cured and impervious to gas. I get a similar/same result straight out of the can minus the buffing/polishing...

The carb cleaner not being relevant in terms of eating away a diaphragm in the needle slide is actually not true. There is a very important gasket/oring at the top of each slide cylinder it’s big and thin enough to deform / dissolve causing a bad vacuum leak. Disassemble the slides if you clean the carbs. 😢laziness!

Thanks for sharing its a good quick fix to try before you go to all the hassles of a full rebuild. Here's a tip put masking tape onto the top pad of the C clamp so it doesn't mark or scratch the outside of the calliper. Cheers
