The videos are great and very helpful since I purchased a 2014 ATS 2.0 Turbo a couple weeks ago. Trying to learn as much as I can before I start taking it to the mechanic. Raven Black exterior Morello red interior. She's a beauty one owner with 78K on the odometer. Don't let those guys at the dealership get into your head. The whole flat spot thing. A lot of times they are threatened by people that can think outside the box. I think it makes him feel stupid.

Its a beautiful car and the engineered design made me so impressed with Cadillac. But that dealership experience was def not a good one. Ultimately the rear diff never got resolved and I liked the car so much that I decided to put a new beefier Camaro rear diff in it (was going to spend about $2k on parts) my wife said “just go get your truck”. We were tired of dealing with it so I traded it.

I bought this vehicle rather cheap ($3,000/162,000 Km's) last week. However, after an oil change, the not-so-loud-ticking is now a loud ticking/lifter noise. So now I'll attempt the same fate ol" Michael did here and hope to come out successful as he did. Great job by the way💪👏🙏, now just have to maybe find someone to give me a hand. I have 2013 Ats 2.5L. Shudder has got worst. Dealership quoted me $689 for power flush and filter change. I’ve called a couple shops near me and was quoted around $300. Just worried they won’t use the right fluid to fix the shudder. Any advice?
@sstressfl12 күн бұрын
I'd go the $300 route (as long as its a real flush and not just a pan drop with new filter) and make sure they use the factory Dexron VI spec fluid. It doesnt have to be the fancy mobil stuff. Your 6 speed will like a clean filter! It will restore line pressure and should stop the shudder for many many miles to come :)

Great video! At first I thought the video was going to run down the ATS and I just had to hear why. Because I own the exact car same color 2014. I bought new I love our Cadillac ATS fun to drive and handles surprisingly well. I owned 3 Z28’s in the 90’s that didn’t near handle like the ATS. I was the General Mgr. at the Chevy Cadillac dealership, I bought my car from for almost 20 years. He is so correct on the issue of flat spots on the tires it’s a problem not every car will have it, not every owner will notice it sometimes it’s barely noticeable but it is a problem. Old age inventory has bigger discounts more rebates for many more reasons flats spots is one. Also him being an owner there’s no reason that car should’ve sat that long at the dealership. Again Great Video.

Handover the car and I drove to home approx 60km (35mile), during the trip I accelerated (gently) until 130km/h (75m/h) then baam bloody hard vibration! Happened 3 times, then I kept low speed (speed limit) until arrive to home Almost got a heart attack first time! I have an entire playlist dedicated to my experience with the caddy. Use dexos 1 gen 3 oil to avoid oil frothing. Keep an eye on your intake for oil build up. GM recommends premium fuel only to avoid carbon build up. Every 10k miles use crc valve and turbo cleaner. Stay on top of your fluid maintenance. If you experience shudder, a professional flush by a mechanic or diy once or twice trans fluid and filter change should fix it. That’s the summary! Enjoy! 👍😎 It’s a gorgeous, well designed but somewhat fragile car.

I used this stuff every other wash in my last Evo I had. The car had a nice natural smell, but I wanted that new smell. This worked. It was different from a brand new car, but you could tell it wasn’t just a “clean” smell. It was a “new” smell of some kind. So it fit the bill.

Evo… nice 😎
@be595217 күн бұрын
But...but...I was waiting for the long term results😕. I know you didn't *_say_* anything about long term effects in your title, but darn anyway. The main reason it would be relevant, is to know if the horsey smell actually _was_ persistent over the long term, and if this much better fragrance 'embedded itself' into whatever surfaces that the horsey smell obviously has (and that this would, therefore, sort of overwhelm the bad smell in the long term).
@sstressfl17 күн бұрын
Here’s a follow up :) yes the horsey smell persisted. But, I experimented after making this video. The instruction’s say to shake well, and before spraying on carpet do a test to make sure it doesn’t stain or discolor. I tested. It was safe. So I misted the trunk. And misted the floor boards. I learned that this is not just a nice smelling odor but it actually neutralizes odors. After I sprayed the trunk and floors, it lasted for 3 months - winter, windows closed. And the new car smell had diminished a couple weeks later but no more horsey smell either. For 3 months! In the summer with the windows open all the time I found it didn’t last as long. But a slight mist every two weeks, shaking well first, and it was good to go. If I kept the car closed up with ac on it lasted longer. I traded the Cadillac and still have 3/4 bottle. I have used it on our minivan following a milk spill (spoiled milk smell) that I cleaned with a wet vac. But this stuff freshened up the van and the odor never returned. My wife likes it too. I hope that helps!
I did not see any indication on the internet of lifter failure especially if your engine has seen regular oil changes. I inspected mine and decided to leave them alone. 30k miles later and all is well 🙏
