@sstressfl So I guess that means a washer for the drain plug isn't used or needed to be replaced?? Right? I noticed that on my 2022 Ram 1500, the drain plug has a brownish colored rubber or plastic thing that seats the bolt flush to the oil case. My 2019 Ram 1500 used a metal squash washer that we're supposed to replace with every oil change. Thanks

As someone with years of auto sales experience at various dealerships including at several GM stores, I can tell you a few things from experience. First, you never say to a mechanic or tech "not to rush" or "take your time." All shop employees get paid on commission and make much less on factory service work than they do on regular service, so they try to rush and sometimes cut corners on warranty jobs. Because of this, if you don't convey a sense of urgency they will put your car on the back burner, and only work on it when things are slow and they have down time. Second, no dealer is going to take wheels off of a car that's available for sale on their lot to fix another customer's car, no matter how good that customer. That's because then they can't sell the other car that no longer has wheels. You see, every car in inventory is costing the dealer money because they're paying flooring and interest to the bank, so the longer the car remains on the lot, the smaller the profit when its finally sold. And all Sales Managers want to have their inventory available for sale at all times. They never want to be in a position where they lose a potential sale because a car was unavailable because parts were missing. That's the bottom-line. I'm glad everything worked out in the end. Best of luck to you!

How is towing with the AM shocks compared to an OE replacement? What size and weight of load were you pulling with the AM shocks?
@sstressfl
@sstressfl 3 күн бұрын
The Monroe shocks added a little boost as they are a progressive spring. But the weight distribution hitch made all of the difference. I’m guessing the van was often right at maximum load rating. Empty weight of the camper was 2400lbs. Plus gear, 5 bikes, 5 people 😮 poor van. We have a truck now and the van gets a lazy life driving kids to school.

The way I look at it is, if you sprayed a chemical into your car to breath it, you have just impaired your health from chemicals that you have no knowledge of.
@sstressfl
@sstressfl 7 күн бұрын
Agreed you should consider those things. The worst of this is the initial evap due to the isopropyl alcohol in it. Best to let it sit for a moment before you drive around with windows closed. Afterward it’s inert perfume scent. In fact the true real car smell that comes from off gassing of plastics and glues from a new car that has just been built has proven to be less than healthy. But…. It smells so good 😁 We definitely live in a world of toxic fumes, pollutions, emf’s, particulates, you name it. But I still like this scent and I use it to refresh our vehicles if they begin to smell less than fresh. It’s a great odor neutralizer even when you can’t smell it anymore.

Hey I don’t have any clunks but when in Drive and I release my brake and then press brake again the steering wheel would jerk. This jerk also happens while I drive but it happens randomly. What do you think might be the problem?
@sstressfl
@sstressfl 11 күн бұрын
That’s usually caused by a seized caliper or a brake pad that’s stuck in its guides. The side that is working normally grabs first which is why it jerks to one side. Then with more pressure the sticky side begins to work and it evens out. At least that’s my guess.
