As far as turn-of-the-century Bechstein grands, there are quite a few model III's and IV's out there (forgetting the huge plethora of model V's) But this is the first model II I've seen.

Orgelmusik kann man immer wieder hören, noch dazu so schön gespielt. Toll.

I know that this is pure blasphemy, but this 1862 Bechstein kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIqpoJWAe82SrMk sounds a lot more modern than the one 16 years younger. And, my first grand piano was an 1874 Bechstein 200cm and I remember it as a modern piano, with friends playing Stravinsky and Prokofiev on it. This one sounds a lot closer to a fortepiano than it should.

The piano sounds wonderful. Warm but very clear and precise at the same time. Liebestraum from Liszt fitted very well to it. I wonder how F. Schubert“s Impromptu no.3 would sound. Please check it out and let us know 😊
