Regal did which was right and Goldberg should have thanked him for it.

Where is the headkick he supposedly received when he was sitting on all fours? Ive watched this match numerous times and still dont see it. He does get ķicked in the head, but he wasnt on all fours, amd william regal was laying on his back when he delivered it. It wasnt a stiff shot by any means. Goldberg is mad because the match exposed him for being a total fraud

Goldberg is useless and pathetic. I never liked him and could see how fake he was at selling a wrestling story.

I'm sorry but if you mess up a match with Bret frikin Hart, you suck. Bret is one of the best executing things just right, maybe Bill should take his own advice and he should have told Bret how he was going to kick him. "Hey Bret, run off the rope and I'll give you some Sweet Chin Music" how hard is that? If you watch the kick to Bret Harts head, you can see that he's expecting the boot to the face type move. But then Bill does a sideways sweet chin music to his temple and it's like...bruh

If you watch the match, there are so many moments where Goldberg seemingly freezes and just stares at Regal when he should be coming back at him with offense. Regal is giving him all these windows throughout the match to make moves and Goldberg is just standing there. I suppose you could say that the reason Goldberg is just standing there is because he's surprised by these stiff shots he supposedly got from Regal but it doesnt' feel that way. It feels like it's exactly what Regal is describing.

If Regal had wanted to make Bill look bad, and wanted to hurt him, they would have had to bring a gurny to the ring, and carry Bill out. He's such a hypocrite. He tries to make Bret out to be a a sorry sob, for being mad about the head kick. Then turns around, and whines about the Regal match. At least Bret has a legit excuse to bury Bill. Bill doesnt have any excuses at all to bury Regal. He should be thanking Regal, for giving him the best match he ever had!

Regal was a pro in every sense. He knew how to tell a story and work a match. Goldberg was a hack. Basically on the same level of skill as The Ultimate Warrior. 90 second squash match with no storytelling or moves of any kind.

Regal was just a resentful midcard jobber who tried to humiliate Goldberg. He was resentful to him to be a rising superstar and to the company to be suspended, so he did his best to ruin the show. Kinda pathetic tbh, just like Goldberg haters who cheer Regal up for that. Not a big surprise he get fired few months later

Sorry I am going JR on this one. Until someone can find a motive, why would JR make up a story like that? Funny to me BAGWELL denies the story, yet his mom Judy who has worked in the business has never come forward and said anything. Also he never stated he spoke to his mother about it or denied the possibility it could have happened. Bottom line if you blame one person for your problems that just proves your character and value to the business.

This is another Alex Wright vs Paul Roma match. While I can believe that they were told to have a competitive match, the powers that be were asking for a "Goldberg mostly dominates, but Regal gets in some sneaky offense through experience and cheating." Right from the get-go Regal was the guy who got in most of the offense. Goldberg was obviously confused and didn't know what to do. The most telling thing was when Goldberg was trying to whip Regal and he just stopped and gave him a shoulder block right away. He went into business for himself and it was pretty unprofessional.
@KeqingMain85 ай бұрын
After watching the match, I believe Regal. Goldberg's moveset is designed for a 90 second match. Guys like Regal and Bret Hart can wrestle almost anyone and put on a 5 star match but all Goldberg was familiar with was squash matches that made him look good. You can see in the match that Regal tried to work with Goldberg. Goldberg was most likely clueless because he always led in his squash matches. The agent goofed because he didn't communicate things properly to Goldberg and kept his head down when Bischoff was angry about what happened. No one communicated and that was the problem.

That little kick to the head Regal did is something ive seen him do to countless people. Later in the match, when Regal was in the headscissors, it looked like another head kick was coming but Goldberg got his arm up and Regal didn't do it. By taking that little foot tap, Goldberg learned not to leave yourself open for cheapshots when wrestling a heel. Just like Brett Hart learned not to wrestle people that don't know what they are doing when Goldberg mule kicked him in the temple.

@RealYRM5 ай бұрын
Why did people even hate this match? We got to see Goldberg do some actual moves, and even though they weren't perfect, we got to see that side of Goldberg. Regal "exposed" what a cagey old wrestler with a history of quality matches could do against Goldberg... but at no point did I think Regal looked like he was going to win. All that happened was that Regal managed to be competitive for a little while before he got destroyed. But later on, if Goldberg was wrestling a guy with some wrestling pedigree, there was a formula here where the audience might have believed a good technical wrestler with some dirty tricks MIGHT have a chance. I like this match. It was something different, and surprising, and I didn't think Goldberg was weak.
@coburncarmichaeljr58955 ай бұрын
One thing to keep in mind that Goldberg was a product of the culture at that time. The guy made his debut on a red hot nitro show. The match isn’t bad at all, and that was all thanks to Regal. Goldberg referred to himself as “a piece of clay” but then blames regal for retiring to make himself look bad. Just take it on the chin and admit that you froze, no shame in that.
@seangorman39596 ай бұрын
Goldberg thought he could come in green and steamroll everybody, and no one would fight back. Then he complains about getting kicked in the head after ending Bret Hart's career from a kick to the head. He was limited and Regal gave him his best actual match to that point, but Bill just wanted to no-sell and win in 90 seconds. What a clown 🤡
