I've got a photo of NR 121 and 117 at Bookaloo railway siding in April 2023, so that pair have been separated at some point

I'd like to spend the night on Mt Fink SA, top of Yellabinna Reserve. It's about 40 km below the Tarcoola to WA railway line, I reckon you would just be able to see the trains lights at midnight from the top of the isolated peak.

Very professional video, thankyou. These trains haven't got the horsepower and presence of their USA counterparts unfortunately. Eg like those engines shown on " 46000 horsepower climbing Mullin Pass ", featuring 11 locomotives

Thanks for the post, I love camping out near Tarcoola SA where you can hear them coming for 10 minutes away at night time. Camping at a railway siding is best as one will park as one from the other direction passes

What an amazing day of trainspotting with a variety of trains featured with the shortest Ghan to Darwin that has ever been seen 😂 ( due to editing ). I had my headphones on and at full volume and joined you for the "whistle jump " near the end of the video. Well done 👏 👍
