Those green primates were pretty interesting. Oh well Spider Man is about entertainment not anthropology .

While I did like this show, it really was a let-down how the later shows were padded with the same web swinging images over and over, much like this clip.

Honestly it would have worked better if the prehistoric plant things had been aliens - they def. had an alien vibe, considering they fed off alpha radiation and created kaiju-sized plant monsters that could move freely. Even with that, the *insects* were a hell of a lot scarier than the plant creatures, which mostly were silly. ("Vegetable superiority?") The general concept wouldn't have made a half bad Dr. Who episode.

I just finished reading Case Closed by Gerard Posner. Here goes. 1. On pages 237-240, Posner claims that motorcycle wasn't at Dealy Plaza. As the police rushed to the hospital, they all turned on their sirens. Yet the tape contains no sirens, and no crowd noise. Posner says the tape contains the sound of a bell ringing, which wasn't at Dealy Plaza. 2. Posner also spends almost an entire chapter describing the awful way Nosenko was treated by the CIA, because they had no way of knowing if he was a real defector or a "plant". 3. Oswald was a kook who was court-martialed twice and left the Marines as a private. The KGB wouldn't have hired him as dog-catcher. 4. Oswald was a 9th grade dropout, a poor speller, and possibly dyslesic. He often mis-wrote dates and events in his diary. 5. Autopsies are performed barefoot, and Oswald had been roughed up by police when he was arrested. Oswald also met with his mother several times after returning from Russia. "Alek Hiddell" was an alias Oswald used. 6. Dozens of people have claimed over the decades they were the second gonman, all of them cranks looking for pubicity. 7. Jack Ruby was a notorious loudmouth and blowhard, the last person you'd trust for an assignment like that.

If you can look past all the cheesy dialogue, out-of-order stock footage and all the rest, you start to realize Ralph Bakshi accidentlied himself into a Gray (Black) Goo monster attack *20 years* before the term was coined. That's how Blotto acts - like a nanite construct that can literally *erase* any other matter to make more of itself. Like theoretical nanomachine constructs, the destruction is almost instant. That makes him flat out *terrifying,* because if you've ever read Gray Goo sci-fi, you know that it would take something like that ~48 hours to *devour the Earth.* Even Clyde doesn't seem to *quite* realize just what sort of a monster he let loose. In that context it even make sense why electricity would temporarily (but only temporarily) neutralize him, as it would freeze but not destroy the Disassemblers. The "Spirit Scope" is a transmitter to its nanites; when hit with it a second time, they change their state of matter, shut down, and Blotto becomes... a literal paper tiger. The dull reactions of just about everyone to a nanite monster eating *the entire city* just makes it all the more horrifying.
