Hi! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am wondering if you recommend any products that serve the same function as above but are for water-based inks and the handpressed method?
@Dikkeaap17 күн бұрын
Wow. It looks like coloured pencils but it is gouache?

This is amazing. Could you please also show the process of how did you make this image? That you traced onto the lino.

I didn't trace it. I just drew it on freehand.

Amazing work! Just wondering if you always use sharpies to tint your linoleum and whether or not it will hurt the integrity of the piece?

Fascinating to watch how you add basic shading and then break it into contour line work and details, even adjusting as you go. Very cool.

What kind of paper did you use for this? Also, why don't you leave the lino sticking out the bottom of the registration? Great video, thanks. :)

This video taught me so much in such a short time: cool registration process, the advantages of being able to see through your paper, keeping your cuts minimal and clean! I only wish I could see more of how you handled some of those sharp corners and stops but thank you for such an informative demonstration!

Extender doesn’t change the opacity? Its purpose literally is for making inks more transparent, that’s what its description says. Why else would you use it?
@ElRonan Жыл бұрын
We used extenders in school to beef up ink supply. I think if you were experimenting with layers and coloured inks you'd get a different effect, but it doesn't alter the opacity of the blacks that I use.

Hi! I'm starting to learn how to linocut, and I have to say your channel has been incredibly helpful, because you get to see how you make your decisions directly on the lino. Also, I'm very envious of your carving technique. I watch your videos over and over to figure out how you make detail, shading and tonal shifts look so natural.

It does okay on the smallest groove, so long as the block isn't too worn.
