Wow! I love puffins. My husband has built me a studio and I have named it 'The Puffin Pad'. I will be able to use it soon and I can't wait. I want to decorate it with sketches and paintings of puffins. I never thought of using fabric. Thanks for the inspiration. I would like to share it with you when I am done if that's ok.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but did you use ordinary acrylic paint or fabric paint for this? It's amazing. The detail and and depth you managed to achieve is brilliant. But it's the eye that floored me. So beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us. The finished piece must be breathtaking.

What photo do you use for reference im trying to make my parter something as a tribute to his late father and this owls expression and position is perfect

I used a photo that I took at the Texas Renaissance Festival Bird Show. You can find free photos as well as websites where you can pay a small fee for the use of the photos. After you pick out a photo you can crop it so that you get a close up position.

@@SQU1SHYFAC3 Thank you for the inquiry to the photo for this quilt, however, this quilt is currently in a traveling exhibit and I have given the Museum the right to use the image for promotional purposes. This quilt is also for sale. Because of this I am unable to give you permission to use the photo.
