Beautiful Reflection on your dad. He sounds like he was a wonderful man and you are proof of that he was. I Just turned 40 a few weeks back and unfortunately my father passed away at the age of 54. My wife and I were getting lunch on my birthday and when we went into the restaurant a U2 played immediately. For context my dad thought head bono and I can remember decorating the tree with U2 songs in the background. So my dad, my guardian angel I believe got that song to me to let me know he’s always around. Obviously I got emotional but it was a great feeling. Condolences to you and your family and hopefully I’ll get out to see you one of these days.

As a DC for more than thirty years, I'd like to say that Dr. Culbert seems very competent...and I very much appreciate that he refers to AK (Applied Kinesiology), and not just kinesiology, which is a common error these days. Yes, a ("functional") short leg generally signals an SI problem on that side of the pelvis, which requires correction (e.g., by means of the SOT blocking)!! I'm going to add that EVEN some chiropractors miss SI problems, which are OFTEN the foundation of the spinal instability from which a patient is suffering. The "SOT boys" are very strong on this emphasis on the "spinal foundation. Also, yes, on the "Holistic-Alternative" tradition (and not just the "medical model"). Some DCs these days are supporters of what they call the "Evidence-Based" school of thought, which has TRULY taken a wrong turn!! These bozos (in the name of science) have basically jettisoned MUCH of what is unique in the Chiropractic tradition... including even the concept of the "subluxation complex." While many of us would prefer that we had a little more research, the amount in existence (for the last century) is pretty reasonable, and--incidentally--osteopaths deal with the very same clinical entity (which they call the "somatic dysfunction"). In a word, these nuts seem to want to turn DCs into medical doctors or physical therapists...and are traitors of our honorable profession.

This is very true. As the Bride of Christ, we are suppose to show the world who Jesus really is. I felt Holy Spirit tell me the other day, imagjne if the Red Cross or some crisis intervention vehicles were driving along, completely broken and rusted. Imagine the car was all scratched up and the windows broken and shattered. Who would approach a car like that? Who would trust that a horrible vehicle like that is going to come and save anyone. Its like the Church. If were being negative examples of who Jesus is, then why would people trust that He would save them or even could. We all need to do better! ❤
