Great video Tim! I have a two stage project "in flight" right now and these videos on two stage tech are very helpful. I was planning to use a single use F Aerotech motor with a 9 volt battery. You had a 9 Volt on the bench but did not show any tests with that battery. Is there a reason you would recommend the 2 cell rechargeable over the 9 volt? If weight is the only advantage that is not a big deal for me. I like the simplicity of the 9 volt. I even used 9 volt batteries in my level 3 project. Thanks for all you and the team at Apogee do for our hobby! Have a great day. Greg

You've seen the process of testing igniters. Give it a try with the 9V and see how well it works with your igniters

Do the lithium ion batteries have protection circuits on them or are they removed?

Good information for fliers to know. Back in the late 1970's, before high output current LiPo batteries, I used a capacitor across my DIY second stage ignition electronics to ensure firing of the e-match with the early composite motors.

Thank you so much for making this video! I've had a lot of questions about which batteries to use with which igniters, and you answered all of them. Thanks again! 🚀

Is it weird that I can smell those igniters in my room after you ised them? 😅

Give it a test! I showed the process of testing batteries with igniters. You can do it!

You're right....I can't just keep relying on you. Although having my own personal Rocket Scientist is pretty cool too....= )

is it typical to only have the rocket name on one side of the tube?

We decorated the model the same way that the original manufacturer did on their website. That's why this artistic scheme is rather plain looking. But you can decorate the model any way you want. Go artistic!

You know Tim I heard you say on a another video I should’ve called me and it only it that some people say they don’t like you narrate these videos I’d rather have somebody younger well myself. Nothing could be further from the truth. You are the rocket scientist, you know this stuff inside and out I trust your judgment And with gray hair comes great wisdom. Good flying my friend you keep producing. We’ll keep watching them. Take care.

Thanks @johniecornett8975. It is a struggle to get viewers and customers. Most people don't share your philosophy. They'd rather look at some young person because they think they can relate more to them. I think that I relate to the people that are a bit more focused on achieving success, and there are far fewer of you around.

@ well you know to Tim it’s like in any other leadership position in a business most of the time all you hear is the bad people leadership hardly ever hear the good even when it’s about themselves I think you do a fine job. Keep up the good work happy flying.
