I've owned both. If I'm after lap times I'm going with the Evo, If I want to have more fun I'm going with the STI. It's unfortunate that the Subaru community is what it is. They are good vehicles that draw the wrong crowd more times then not.

Some of those boys are driving like morrons but there are some people who use the road for our modified cars at a safe level including bikes. Only last week in the Northern Beaches there were two young people (male and female) just like this who were coming back from a car meet, and decided to use a stretch of highway like a track. It ended very sadly. 🥲So no I cannot support this behaviour at all.
