I wish reviewers - you included, actually committed to your findings. You crap on the speakers and mic, then close out saying its awesome. It isn't. The design is terrible for the cost of the unit. This is not a premium laptop if it has so-so speakers and microphone. Also, for the price it should include an OLED screen and a better designed chassis. Best laptop you've used? Have you used anything else?
@duffyrides8 күн бұрын
Hey there. Appreciate the feedback. I made two videos on this laptop and I’ve now used it for one year as my primary laptop. It’s truly an excellent machine however the speakers do fall short in some instances (especially compared to my MacBook Pro M1) however I noticed that after some recent updates they have gotten a bit better, perhaps it was more of a driver issue. This laptop does in fact have an OLED 4K display which is excellent and I should highlight that a bit more in the videos. The chassis is also very light , I think this has to be one of the lightest 16 inch laptops in the mid to high end category , especially when you consider that it has the largest battery you can have in a laptop that is approved by airlines. Hope this helps. Have a good one.

Hi. Thx for the review. Given your experience on the stock Ripley V5 what would you say about building one with a Pike and a Super Deluxe with piggyback? Where do you think it will gain and lose? I was thinking on building one a bit more capable without going for the bigger Ripmo. Thanks for your opinion!
@duffyrides23 күн бұрын
That might be a good idea however the Ripmo and Ripley now share the exact same frame and from what I hear , the Ripmo climbs extremely well also. If I were you , I’d just get the Ripmo. Unless you really want to keep the rear at 130mm travel ?

Never size up… at your height, the SL7 in 52 is appropriate tbh. Unless you have unusually long legs. I love the Scott addict, but the SL7 is very very similar. I have a 1 piece Avian Canary. I highly recommend you try it….
@duffyrides2 ай бұрын
Agreed. That’s why I suggested to the other person that they should go into the store and try both the 54 and 56. As for the SL7 here, the seat post needs to be very far extended for me , pretty much to the maximum within the safety limits. But it fits me well. @duffyrides2 ай бұрын
@@BurndTire I strongly suggest you go to the shop and try the 54. The size 54 in the Scott is a bit larger than a regular 54 I believe. Every bike is unique. I’ve had someone that rides a size 56 Scott Addict RC (just like mine) sit on my bike (size 54) and he likes the way the 54 feels. There is a strong chance that the 54 is the right size for you so it’s best to go and try one in the store.

I own two Scott addicts. I have ridden the 2021 Foil RC10 (so comfy) & the 2024 Foil ultimate (too stiff for UK, perfect in Switzerland) - no difference for mere mortals in terms of felt watt savings. I have the same SL7, with Sram Red. It’s marginally better. With the same wheelset, both bikes feel really good but the SL7 holds speeds slightly better but nothing significant in comparison to the Scott addict. The SE/Endurance addicts are even more comfortable focused for those in their 60s.
@duffyrides3 ай бұрын
Great feedback ! The SL7 does in fact hold speed slightly better than the Scott but in the climbs I find the Scott to be perfect for me and that is somewhat of a priority on my side.
