I don’t know you, I found your Lake Billy Chinook video trying to find the place I grew up, I found this trying to find more videos up there. His bless your family, you’ve had a beautiful upbringing and amazing journey. Thank you for your videos they are soothing to my soul. Ed Davis was my grand dad and Doug and Dee still were his friends. They helped build 3 rivers.

Enjoy, Panorama when you do get on it! We just took Royal Caribbean (to Alaska) after having always taken Carnival Cruises. For some reason, in my mind, I thought RC would be ‘nicer’. Not so. The cabins were planned out better (storage) but otherwise, I prefer the newer Carnival ships.

@@KarenNewsom-z7p we actually took quite a long route to get there, all along the marina, then onto the beach and back up to The Office. It probably took us 45-50 minutes. If you don’t walk all the way around the marina and up that beach…instead, walking part of the marina then through the town a bit, it should take about 25-30 minutes. I hope this helps! Btw, go back to catch the tender early. The line was RIDICULOUS!

The year prior, my friends were in PV staying at an all-inclusive resort and were by the docks/ harbor. There was an area of a group of taxis waiting. He had the nicest van with a/c so they picked him. They had no idea where to go, so he took them to an amazing seafood restaurant where the locals eat. They then asked if they could hire him for a whole day the following day and he agreed. We then found him this trip and hired him again.

I've been there. It's a natural wonder. I went during December. It was like powerful chaos of waves sea side 🌊 and a calm tranquil pool just on the other side. The waves hitting the beach were hitting with such power that I could feel the energy shock through the sand. I'm a really strong swimmer but I did not dare to even go 12 inches into the water after the wave washed back out. The waves would wash up about a 10-15 degree angle up 35-40 feet. If I were to stand 20 feet from the water and let it wash over my feet, when the water went back to the ocean I would be in just under my knee in sand because there was so much water rushing back to the ocean. What was even crazier is we were sitting at a safe distance on the sand watching the locals grab their surfboards and attempt to get past the break so they could paddle out and surf these huge waves. Another experience is I was almost swept out to sea near Princeville. I was standing on a cliff watching the swells form and watching the huge waves form and slam the side if the cliff which was about 40 feet below me. The waves would crash and explode water about 50 feet, that being about 10 feet up in the air, so about 4 feet in front of me. I was standing there a I saw this huge swell coming in and I thought, wow this is going to be a huge wave. Well the wave went over the cliff I was standing on. All I could do is duck and grab the volcanic rock with all my strength while the water flowed back out. My wife and friends were talking about 15-20 feet behind me. They said they were talking and it got dark all of a sudden. The wave was so big it blocked the sun. The sun was low but still it block the sun. They had to run to avoid it. When we got back to the resort I told the nice guy from Argentina that worked there what happened. He said, I know exactly where that is because people have died there. Kauai is a beautiful place. Everywhere you look it looks like something out if a post card. On the flip side Mother Nature can kill you. Anyway I saw this pop up as a reccomended video and it brought back these memories.

I’m so glad that you posted this video. My boyfriend and I are in Kauai right now, and thank God it’s raining otherwise we would have gone to queens bath without researching it. Why do they post picture on the web of people floating in calm waters. I didn’t realize there were actually two pools - the “calm one” and the dangerous one. I see that you and your wife were in the “calm” pool and it still got crazy dangerous. My bro in law is a professional swimmer and I just texted him and he told us to keep out! Thank god for the rain today and the KZbin videos.
