What a wonderful piece of footage! Would I be able to use this in a history of the class 57 video? You will receive full credit. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

I really do miss the great old days of First Great Western and the class 43 trains I wish they stayed longer

This is an excellent video which shows the skillful work of the SBB staff at hump yards. The close up views are particularly enjoyable. I've been lucky enough to visit RB Muttenz and it takes a while for the sheer size of the yard to sink in. I filmed from a road bridge which crossed the yard and was situated close to the hump and so was able to get some decent footage but I couldn't get this close. The footage taken from cab of the AM843 is really special. Thanks for sharing it with us. Andy. UK

Thanks very much. It’s quite an operation in that yard and i could watch the trains being sorted for hours. I noticed you are from the UK, me too.

I swear to god if i EVER win a huge amount on the lottery or by some fluke become a billionaire....im buying a class 37 brush diesel loco....and, if need be having it painted in BR blue with yellow nose caps....beautiful.....these are so evocative for me i cant explain it without a million words....it began in 1977...christmas...and my dad buying me a hornby train set, a class 37 with blue/grey BR coaches...me and my dad played with it well into the night...and ive loved them ever since..i still have it, boxed, probably worth a mint...but...ill keep it forever...whats money when you have memories ✊....extremely happy days ✌🍻
