The downfall of Whatnot was predicted long time ago, their priciples and morals have gone significantly downhill since they were in a compatitive market with other players such as Voggt (much better customer protection and customer service)Time and time again people like myself have raised concerns to the good old Daniel Fisher who is the UK mastermind behind the platform, and I have rarely met a more disinterested individual - its all about profit its all about financial gain, it was never about the streamers, it was never about protecting buyers or suporting sellers on the platform - in fact the vast majority of breakers on there are great individuals, with morals and high standards but its simply just pointless, when the business is run by morons (yes, I know I am adding to the long list of people who disagree with me - as they are main sponsors of large events so people are afraid of soeaking out, but I am past that long time ago!) - people need to publicly speak up about this, and stop supporting the platform, sadly too many of the big streamers are now given a platform where they know they can act and behave like they want without any consequence as Mr Fisher and his Elfs are protecting them! Rant over, but opinion still stands!

Whatnot is a cesspit. The pokemon scammers were out fleecing the uneducated last Thursday. Truly awful and it was big names who everyone knows doing it. Anything for an extra buck

Your right. These companies hooked people with high quality and low prints and prices were good everyone had a chance ripping a box to hit gold. Now every thing is 10x 20x 100x the print run. A box will cost £180-£300 and you probably get £10-£50 value back. They have shot the game in the foot to cater to breakers and whatnot which are a plague. It's that rush of buying 10 little spots in the hope you luck is in but it never is. And at that point you've spent the same as a box and got the same awful amount except yay you only got base of the team you like. Personal Box breaks are so sad. Fact is people only want their own team in most cases. But even then how many palace fans are paying 100s for a card? Then if a Palace fan pulls a Fulham card they just feel awful 😂 It's the same tables and same people buying the high end at shows no one new is there doing it and if someone does hit a high price card that doesn't inspire them they just cash out to the same old folks. Tcg is so different print runs are through the roof, a chase card may have 15,000 psa 10s in 6 months BUT 100,000 people want that card so you get £400 for it. The demand isn't really there in footie outside the usual 5/10 big players and the current in rookie who is dog shit 2 years later. All I hear is it's growing and will be like basketball in America soon but I think we are a long way away. Mines probably an unpopular opinion but I watch every week and think your right here 😂

Incredibly well said about the overprinting. You can buy just about any 2023-2024 soccer card for the less than the price of one box. Reds, Golds, Autos, Case Hits. Most are less than $100. The upside isn’t even there

Australia has the same problem no PSA branch here they have an office in Japan they need one here and more people will grade cards here costs too much for us in Oz to send cards and pay import duties

Rant incoming: Must admit I haven't watched much sport on whatnot purely as most break prices are ludicrous. Paying for a dead spot that never comes out just seems wrong BUT tcg it's awful I avoid like the plague. People scamming newbies on like common cards for £4 each or damaged bid up to £25/£50 when graded in a 6 would be like £20. So many scummy sellers. Watched a stream the other day stuff selling £4-£7, seller saying your robbing me blind, you are getting these cheap i may have to stop. 36 in the set, i can buy the whole set for £46. Predators nothing more most of them. Whatnot have asked me 4 times to join at this point, i won't even dignify them with a response 😂 I think its a platform for egos who love being on camera. They think they are famous while robbing the unexperienced who think they are friends. Nope. You are a customer getting scammed for more than you would elsewhere. People then claim I'm a big name you pay for the experience of being on my stream. Get the fuck out. You are just a richer version of the person buying. Lucked into wealth its not like your a celeb at all 😅 Don't even start me on evri for shipping...

I hate comps. I get it on common cards where theres like 20 on ebay but for rarer ones nope. Recent example: card sold in America for $90 so they want it for like £80. But the card I'm selling and the card on ebay are the only 2 available. And the ebay 1 was non UK shipping. He didnt fly to America and pay petrol/hotel once there to get it so its my one only. Even if he would send it here account into it shipping and import fees it would be more than £80. I'm now only 1 for sale ANYWHERE you can take your £80 and shove it up your arse 😂 I don't even like or want the card but it's the principle haha
