1:44:38 TOAD: So, I know what you're asking: "Are you playing Mario Party 9?" Yes. "Then why are you playing the Solo Mode again?" Well, to be honest, I'm trying to get the Sad Star Rank in less of 200 Mini Stars. I call it the "Self-Imposed Challenge". Getting the "Sad Star" rank in Solo Mode requires having a total of less than 200 Mini-Stars for all six boards. Due to the sheer amount of luck involved with everyone's Dice Block rolls and the board events, it's entirely possible for you to end up with too many Mini-Stars in a board to achieve this rank, even if you go out of your way to place last in every minigame. What also makes this challenge incredibly brutal is that you're forced to start the board over if Shy Guy and/or Magikoopa win. Some boards are a duel match between you and Shy Guy and/or Magikoopa, forcing you to collect more Mini-Stars than them, but not too many. And even if there another opponent who could potentially end up with the most Mini-Stars, Shy Guy and Magikoopa have a higher difficulty set for them in the minigames than the other opponents, especially on the last two boards where you're up against both of them, so the other opponents will almost never win against Shy Guy and Magikoopa in the minigames. If you want the "Sad Star" rank, it's going to be an extremely rough climb up the luck based mountain to get there. This was a lot easier said than done. Trying to get a low rank is far harder than getting a high rank, because you need to make sure to have as little mini-stars. At the same time, Kamek or Shy Guy can't win or you need to start over, so I had needed to have constant vigilance to make sure the OTHER Com player won, or if I was alone with Shy Guy/Kamek, I had to get more mini-stars than them, while still getting a low number. I think I had to start all over again to get the Sad Star Rank. You know what? Let's back up.

I have 261 stars and im in the magma mine board but for some reason I have only the shy guy and kamek bots, what can i do to win if I need to get very few mini stars?

@@S3B4S_YT That's a tough one. If I were you, I would try to at least collect less than 38 mini stars at best. By winning only boss battles without Captain bonuses. But also avoid letting Shy Guy and/or Magikoopa/Kamek winning mini stars, by making them run into mini Ztars and/or lava. If you go over 38, try your best to get mini ztars too or run into magma. I hope those tips help. If not, I don't know what will. Other than restarting the whole story mode.

@@bracingstargaming thats a great tip thanks! But I only can have 299 stars minimum and I calculated I can only have approximately 19 stars in the 2 remaining boards so im trying to avoid minigames and every thing but Its a little bit Hard to balance it

@@S3B4S_YT Oof! That's extremely tough. 2 board games left, and you got 299 mini stars. You have a 0.01 percent chance to pull it off if you're not battling against Shy Guy and/or Magikoopa alone. My advice(s), Just get Zero Mini Stars period, and hope for the best, however if you're battling against Shy Guy and/or Magikoopa alone and have 299 mini stars, Restart the whole thing, cause It's not worth it.

@@bracingstargaming yeah I screwed the run because I got like 51 ministars and un like you the 100 stars I got in the fourth board are not reduced to 50 so I need to restart, but could you give some general advices for the run to not acumulate much ministars in the first boards? And how I need to act with diferent amount of cpus?

@@S3B4S_YT Oof! And I got a couple of advices. 1. Try to get at least 25 to 35 mini stars or less in each and every board except for the final board! 2. If you're battling against Shy Guy and/or Magikoopa/Kamek alone, even if you're on the final board or first board, get 30 to 45 mini stars at best! I truly hope those help you to complete your mini stars journey! And I'm sorry if they do not!
