I want to replace my patio. Is it better to remove the existing pavers or to pave over? I have large pillars that have been installed on top of the existing pavers. So if I pull them out I will have to leave the old pavers directly under the pillar to avoid having to remove them all together

There are different installation factors to look at. If the the concrete is uneven or displaced, it is better to remove the concrete and then install pavers. If the concrete is in good condition, you can install veneer pavers over the selected area.

I am in Tucson AZ. I have a question on border…do I use steel paver edging? Do I just leave it there after?

In Arizona, I always recommend utilizing Portland underneath your paver border and slope side.

I think we need to do how the European countries, like Scandinavia and all them other countries up there, the happiest places in the world, do theirs they do four tens, I think that or you can do it to where you work three and a half days, either way you're getting your 40, so why does it matter? If you're getting 40 hours a week and you can do 40 hours in 2 days, like I know I could then why can't you do it that way You're doing the same amount of work you're doing the same production and you can run 2/15s and a 10 then why could one not do that? I know when I get my contract and license but I'm going to do four tens for my employees

I'm helping my neighbor install some pavers (long story).. he insisted 1 buy the stage one which what I see in your video and also stage two which is simply leveling sand. Is there a reason why you are not using it??

Leveling sand is used dependent on the application and region of installation. Here in Arizona, we don’t use leveling sand because we do multiple compaction of the base layer, and after we install the pavers. Typically larger format material needs leveling sand. But again, it depends on the installation technique of the professional.
