just got back from a trip to Mayo. had two days on Clare, friendly people, beautiful scenery, fantastic food(fish and chips at sailor bar beautiful) and late night craic

Beautiful! I pray that I am able to go there soon and walk in my Grandfather, Patrick O'Grady's, footsteps. I would love to stay in the Lighthouse where he worked.

There is a lot more activity in Clare island from when I lived there 25 years ago I was helping to renovate the lighthouse for fella called timmerman From Belgium It has been sold on since then My uncle is buried there his second Wife was one of the mc cabes Good to see lots more people enjoying The island I had some beautiful times on that Island with very fond memories Peace

my dad was born on Clare Island.His name was John O Grady.It looks like a nice Place.

Ann Hay You should try and visit Clare It is worth it Bit of advice go in the summer It gets pretty rough in the winter! Peace

cheers carl I will do that, we sail into belfast early Monday 14th August then head to donegal and stat the wild atlantic way from donegal so hopefully it will be on the Wednesday 16th but I will call on the tuesday to give updates as to where we are 👍

hello myself and my son are coming to do the wild atlantic way in August on our motorbike and we will be visiting clare island as I've always listened to the song so I must visit, can we bring our bikes over on ferry and if possible a overnight stay, cheers Keith
