Andrew, I can’t thank you enough for this video. I have had the Rotary Chisel 1/8” size A-D bits for over a year. They D is my favorite Rotary Chisel but as a relative beginner I could have never imagined any of these texture patterns. I have always been a little unsure of myself with these bits so this video is very empowering. I hope you make more of these Rotary Chisel videos in the future. This was so helpful. Thanks so much!

Awesome, glad you got something out of it. I only have a few and haven't used them all that much until recently, really, when I started creating more complex patterns, but I think I have found their strength for my processes. Happy to make more videos on these bits in the future. Thank you for your kind comment! Cheers Andrew

Thank you! Are there woods you avoid because of burning?
@FromASeed4 күн бұрын
These have a blade so don't generally burn but I do avoid harder wood to reduce wear. Cheers!

Your work inspirational. Absolutely the best I've found so far. I'm looking to get started, but can't decide on which tools. Every time I make my mind up, I find a new video and change it again.... Ball gouge looks like it should be a definite, probably along with the mini turbo plane, but then I saw this video.... haha....

Yep, the ROK portafilter is poorly designed and prone to break so a nice wooden one like this is ideal. Nice work.

Nice project, but I'm worried about cutting branches on the bandsaw without a V-shaped holder. The piece can catch and ruin your blade.

Can I ask a questions about tool preferences? Do you have a reason for using the green grinder you shape the second piece with, as opposed to something like the arbor tech turbo plane? I use the turbo plane for shaping like that, but I’ve never used one of the toothed grinders. As I’m typing this I see you’re using a different tooth grinder to further shape the piece. I guess the real question here is what are the pros and cons of the different angle grinder shapers?
@FromASeed6 ай бұрын
Yeah the green Sabuur burr sands instead of cutting. More messy but more contolable than the alternative, you can be really delicate and precise. No catches either.
