i did watch it million times, actually lovin this recreation, sounds so dope, i cant remember first time i was like well okay , so ... synth tweaks, cool then the beat strikes in and the playing start and then the magic happen and i was like ' helll yeahhhh'

also spotting out that the most impressive part of the video is Valmont game play on the beat, as the synth set up remains pretty (but indeed dope as F) basic lol

I have one and love it. $15 I paid for it. The REV7 is also very good. They both excel due to the built-in semi-parametric EQ. Such a simple little extra detail to extend creative tweaks and personal nuance when in the zone! For instance, the Quadraverb has EQ too, but being buried in there it's still very valuable, but less subconscious and therefore maybe less experimental (for me).

So cool. Always wanted a VRS, and this whole stack too... So inspiring to see the aesthetic brilliance, quality sound engineering, and your creativity.

Are you using trigger out or sync from the rd8?

I had one in the 80s, it came in cardboard boxes. So: I had a custom made pack n roll case, fabricated in London. It was foam lined for the pads (inc the kick pad) with a lift out tray for the brain. I gave them the dims, an picked it up direct from the factory. Took it back home on the train. Later changed the nylon castors for rubber tyred ones.

I had the similar, but smaller R-5. The two machines basically sound the same, with that word glitchy pitch shifted sound that I really miss! I actually prefer the size of the R-5, the small screen didn't bother me, not did the 4 outs (R-8 has 8), but no card reader! That was the real problem with the R-5. I'll probably end up buying a R-8 at some stage, I'd like to try out my own sounds using a WaveRex card.
