I know everybody has told you already that he’s a Christian artist. I love that he’s popping up in people’s recommendations because of Chris Stapleton though, who can also sing anything lol. It means it opens his fan base as well as other folks in Christian since he’ll pull folks there. And I love it. We should always mix genres. Amazing music is amazing music, the artists shouldn’t be stuck because of the label they have.

Always fun watching you react to BM. Hoping you'll do a reaction to Megitsune at some point! It's a BabyMetal classic. The original MV is good, but I highly recommend you seek out one of their more recent performances, like the "Legend MM" one. It really highlights Su's evolved vocals, and if you can find a subbed version, go for it - the lyrics are important!

This is one of my least favorite FiR songs (and some of my favorites are old and don't even have a video). But the video really is hilarious. The giant mic (if you don't get the joke, please Google Ronnie Radke Mic Stand incident).

Another tangent comment to help the algorithm, My husband had a widow maker heart attack at 38. We'd only been married a few years. I am from a different world than his family. Some in his family thought I changed him, and somehow killed him. Mostly because they love gossip, blame and living life like a country song. Edit to add... my changes included settling down, having babies, working hard/playing hard as tax paying citizens, and what most people who don't wrestle gators and have a bail bondsman on speed dial consider a normal life.

My grandparents' summer house was called Holiday House too. Not the same zip code as Taylor's. Lol😂 But my cousins and I all play this song and toast that exceptional couple who inspired us and gave us such a sense of fun & safety.

Watching the wheels turn is great. Thats what good story telling does. You dont need to know of the bat. The Dynasty imagery is valid. But not the exact reference. Mkre like Dynasty also took inspiration from Rebecca.

Yessss, you should hear live versions of this! He starts at the piano and then the whole band joins at the breakdown. Can't wait for you to hear more sleep token. He enters falsetto and slays it in lots of other songs toooo :).

A "dynasty" in this sense is just meaning when you have a family of powerful leaders. (For example, the Kennedy family is a political dynasty.) John D. Rockefeller is more widely known but he, Stephen V. Harkness, Henry M. Flagler (and a few others) co-founded Standard Oil.* Steven V. Harkness was the half-brother of Daniel M. Harkness who had a son William L. Harkness, who in turn had a son William Hale Harkness. William Hale Harkness is the "Bill" referenced in this song. He married Rebekah Semple West, who is the subject of this song. The TV show "Dynasty" revolved around the Carringtons, a fictional "Big Oil" family. (Because it was considered a monopoly, Standard Oil was later forced by a SCOTUS decision to break up into various independent companies -Esso, Mobil, Exxon, Chevron, Amoco, BP, and others.)

Great reaction! I loved how you vibed with the rap crew but still liked Burr’s persoective. About the songs, it makes sense if you group them like this while you’re listening -alexander hamilton, aaron burr,sir, my shot, story of tonight -the schyler sisters -farmer refuted, you’ll be back, right hand man -a winter’s ball, helpless, satisfied, story if tonight (reprise) -wait for it -stay alive, the ten duel comandments, meet me inside - that would be enough, guns and ships, history has its eyes on you -yorktown, what comes next? -dear theodosia -Non-Stop -what did i miss?, cabinet battle #1 -take a break, say no to this -the room where it happens, schyler defeated -cabinet battle #2, washington on your side, one last time - i know him, the adams administration -we know,hurricane, the reynolds pamphlet, burn -blow us all away, stay alive (reprise), it’s quiet uptown -the election of 1800, your obediant servant, best of wives and best of women, the world was wide enough, who lives who dies who tells your story

It's all Vessel singing, he comes from gospel background. Many feel this song is about suicide or a possible drug overdose. All Sleep Token songs are a journey, an experience & very relatable to people around the globe. This music is therapy for the soul.

famous words "this is my favourite BabyMetal song " then you hear the next one ! Great start to The Trilogy of Lights . You have not heard Shine and Arkidia yet 😁 love the harmonies between Su and Moa, especially that switch near the end where Moa singing and Su is doing the la la part, then they switch back . 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Strap your seatbelt on because this is just a taste of what’s about to happen. I am oh this song is a 10 out of 10, but it’s not even one of the top 10 best songs of the musical the next song will blow you away

This song is about self-harm. “I woke up surrounded, eyes like frozen planets” Vessel woke up in the hospital surrounded by doctors “Just orbiting the vacuum I am They talk me through the damage, consequence And how it's a pain, they know, they don't understand” Just remember that in all the studio songs of Sleep Token there is only one vocalist and it's Vessel. He sings absolutely everything. The girls from Espera are joining to live show

On the headphones note I'd highly recommend some Bose in ear buds. Pricey but I discovered this evil little voice that is burried in the mix that makes subtle appearances when it is needed to emphasize something. Their depth is one of a kind
@Nonya12608Күн бұрын
You should pull up the lyrics when you listen to them. "Anything to get me to *sleep*" He's referencing The Atlantic, a sunken ship. Those background vocals are Vessel. Listen to Levitate on TNDNBTG (album version). He was clearly in his church choir. A lot of beautiful falcetto on their first EP, too. Calcutta is another one. So many good songs!
