Hi at the moment I can't walk normally due to tightness and spasm pain in the lower back. The only way I can walk is to put left leg and foot forward then I drag the right leg forward instead of a natural swing any ideas? If I get out of bed first thing in the morning I can walk normally til i get going

I share your problem mac, I am curious about the back muscles involved in walking, in particular, what are the bands of muscles that run on each side of the lower spine and fire alternatively with each step? Can gate be changed to relieve stress on one or the other of these?

Hello im trying to understand the achilles Tendon biomechanical influence on the Tibiotalar joint, subtutal joint etc. regarding gliding and rolling. I have these reflection because of my patiens with lengthy achilles tendon post achilles tendon rupture surgery. So im trying to understand the biomechanical correlation between af lengthy/loose achilles tendon and joint play in the foot. My imediate clinical thinking tells me that that is a chance for an anterior impingement in the anterior ankle joint. what do you think?

It looks like at 3:21 you mention abduction but it looks like the subject is doing shoulder extension.. i.e. pressing down with ther hand/arm. That said, I appreciate your video!

This is great information, but i wonder if your muscle activation would change if your were to strike the ground on the balls of your foot instead of with your heel since the heel strike is a less effiecient method used to run that also leads to a lot of injuries.

From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for taking the time to make this video. I'm a PTA student and the diagonal patterns were just not sticking until I saw you explain them so effortlessly. I will forever credit you as having taught them to me. :)
