Your arrow is supposed to ride on the prongs not on the horizontal bar of your rest. Adjust them things. Don’t think of it like the modern drop aways you may have seen. That rest is different. Cock feather down so it passes between the prongs.

@@coryedd3783 thanks so much for pointing that out I had no idea I've been shooting that bow that way for a while now I've only owned it for maybe a year. but the one I had before that the rest was the same way and I thought that's how you shoot off of that style of drop way arrow rest. I really haven't shot compound bow for that long .I usually shoot my traditional bows and I've been shooting traditional bows since I was a kid.using the old school arrow rest and shooting off the shelf. which I called Indian style. So my experience with compound bows is very limited especially the one in the video because I've only owned it for a short while so I'll definitely try to adjust those prongs and see how it does and see if it's any more accurate then it is now not to mention I've gotten kind of used to shooting it like this for the time I've owned it not to mention I thought the reason it was sitting in the rest like that was so you can hang up the bow in your deer stand with with an arrow already put on the string and it was something to hold the arrow in place for the time being until you're ready to shoot. So I guess it is what it is thank you for sharing your knowledge. may you have a wonderful day and I hope you have a happy hunting season God bless you. Sincerely Marky Mark from Northern Illinois

I'm sorry about the late response I didn't realize anybody commented on this video nor have I realized that it gotten so many views that's pretty amazing to say the least I hope it really inspires people to grow their hair out long and be free like me. 4 years I cut my hair because people said I look terrible with long hair but now on this new hair growing journey I find I find that I get a lot of compliments in my mouth in public it's pretty shocking and it's nice to hear people say that I look handsome. Thank you for the comment I was pressed for time as this was originally just something I put on my Instagram and it had a 1-minute time limit so I was kind of pressed for time I do sing it a lot slower unusually to music in the background normally but I thought it would be kind of fun to sing it as I thought it would be kind of fun to practice this song as this one of my favorites to sing it is a really good song to open up the lungs and exercise the vocal cords maybe I will do a cabinet karaoke version of this with music in the background for the 4th of July I think that would be a lot of fun. As well as Lee Greenwood's song Proud To Be an American. As that also is one of my favorite songs to sing around the 4th of July and you probably didn't know I was pressed for time and that's why I kind of hurried through it thank you so much for the nice comment I hope you have a wonderful start this brand new week as tomorrow is Monday the first of July I hope you have a wonderful day God bless you sincerely Marky Mark from Northern Illinois

Hey Mark, i did have a blacksmith shop and made knives, camp fire irons, a general blacksmith shop. Progression of a neurological disease caused me to sell my shop and quit my career, it's difficult to stand /walk for long time, it is also hard to grip my tools,hammers, tongs.... I never was on that show. Also throwing your tomahawk "step " it off around 5-7 steps from your block, concentrate sticking it every time and then practice for accuracy. Have fun with it, go to a black powder rifle shoot, rendezvous, reenactment, ask questions the guys there will be happy to help you become a professional!! Lol it is fun and addictive, get another tomahawk and teach your children to throw then you can compete against each other cutting cards or strings or rubber bands! Good family fun. God bless you yours,see you on the trail. Sorry this was long winded,hahaha

I am dialed in at 40# right now. So, I would say early to mid 90's is the age of that bow. Mine looks a lot like that one, but it has red limbs and a black riser. It's a classic!

Wow mark really love that vintage stingray with a sissy bar and that really Hi-Tech Bell! You sure know how to ring that Bell! You are the greatest dad a little girl could ever have! I had trouble keeping up with you too years ago! Yesterday we took Lucy to starved Rock and I remember how you and I and Travis rode our bikes all the way to starved Rock! A 150 mi round trip!
@markbroughamsindooroutdoor9291 Жыл бұрын
Actually dad I forgot to reply back to this comment but it's not a vintage Stingray it is vintage,but it's not a stingray .what it is, is a old BMX Diamondback frame. I got way back long time ago and then I put those wheels on it. it had originally had BMX handlebars on it but i ended up putting my ape raiser style handlebars on it. and then I had that special crushed velvet lowrider bicycle seat and extra tall sissy bar on it .that bike wasn't really meant for that style but it is what it is, it is a really nice bike to ride around with Abby because it's a single speed and I enjoy riding around the neighborhood with her and ringing the bell. It's a whole lot of fun cruising around on that thing in town will I get a lot of compliments on it even though it has a little bit of surface rust it still looks like a really nice bike a lot of people like it and they think it's really cool if I ever had the chance to get myself some mods for it I think a new pair of lowrider style spoke rims and maybe even one of those special pair of Lowrider bike forks with the spring I think that would look really nice but that means I probably need to get myself some sort of way to buy things online since I don't really trust putting my numbers out there in fact I probably could just get their phone number off of the website and some part numbers in order things for it would be nice to upgrade it and make it a heck of a lot cooler looking then it is now but that would be sometime down the road when I have some extra money. Have wonderful day Dad God bless you and have a wonderful Monday

If you wanted to shoot right off the the shelf it can easily be done with a bit of fur on the shelf, a little strip of thin leather of Velcro on the riser as a strike plate, and set your nocking point on your string high and you can easily shoot the vanes without the whisker biscuit unless of course you prefer to shoot with the WB. Anyway it's all about having fun, and it looks like you are doing just that! God bless you and your family!
@markbroughamsindooroutdoor9291 Жыл бұрын
Good morning Joe happy Monday morning and after reading what you said I've never really done that before I've seen people put fur on the Shelf as well as a piece of leather or Velcro on the strike plate I've never shot Off the Shelf with any of my full-size Recurve Bows before but maybe it would be something I should try in the future I do kind of like the whisker biscuit but it does block some of my view of what I'm shooting at but I was starting to get used to it after a couple sets just took me awhile to get used to How It lines up with the string but all-in-all I'll definitely give what you said a try thank you for advice I hope you have a wonderful day God bless you man

@@markbroughamsindooroutdoor9291 I actually use felt that has an adhesive back to it on my riser strike plate. Also if your brace height is over 7.5" and your nocking point is just high enough your vanes shouldn't even make contact with the shelf, but I use the fur just in case.

Uncle Tony's guitar sounds really good he did a really good job along with Micha's help but you did most of it. It was a real active love. And you honor his memory by using it for the glory of God! I love your outlook on life each day you make a positive affirmation encouraging others to have a really good day! But we know that the only way to really have a positive outlook is to know that one is reconciled to God through faith in Jesus, his shed blood for the remission of sins, his death and burial and Resurrection for our justification. And then we know that we are called according to his purpose and he works all things together for good for those who love.

Hey Marky, yeah it's really good to praise the Lord on a Thursday night or any night for that matter.. you sing with passion and heart uncovered. Chest too! Sometimes I'll have a dream at night and I'll be preaching a message and I won't have a shirt on... They say that you dream that way because you want to appear too not want to cover up or hide the truth.. you are unique and you express your love for God in a beautiful way and a very masculine way. And I like a little bit of reverb in there it sounded good!

And yes Mark it does sound really good just keep praising God you bless me more than you could ever know, and I know you must bless others also. To God be the glory great things he has done giving us new life new life and his Son, through faith in the work that Jesus had done upon calvary's cross his shed blood saving us from eternal loss through faith in his death burial and Resurrection for our justification, we become right with God.
