The strange little doll is a Ndebelle South African doll.. They range in price from around $15 up to almost $100. You might want to see which one you have. Love the little treasures you found.

Hi Tonya- the garage sales are over here- now the craft shows begin for Christmas. If I were at that garage sale I would have picked up the fern stand- they always sell at the right price, the owl and also the terrarium but only if the price was right. I have to get 4x what the price is. for example if something is 3 bucks-I would only buy if I could get 12. And, I'm in a tough market so it would have to be good. I liked that sale.....good selection and clean. Now about that rattle- I'm no expert for sure but I would bet that thing is plated- but I could be wrong. You have to look for 925 or some type of mark for sterling. I always enjoy seeing you shop. I feel like we are girlfriends! hahahaha

Even if it's marked 925 it is mostly a thin layer of silver not solid silver.

Wouldn't you think the seller with the mirror would have taken the stuff in her hand so she could shop better? I can't believe these people who run the yard sales. We always asked the overloaded people if they would like us to take their stuff for them.

Yes Tonya- the kitchen utensils- I have many vintage utensils in my booth and they sell. Look for the Bakelite handles and also brass rivets on the handles- they sell for more. Also vintage EKCO can be good.
