@@WilkoinFrance Yeah, ive tried to figure out how much in needs, but cant fin it enywhere. Mine was full of water, but i cant service it untill spring😅
@WilkoinFrance8 күн бұрын
Sounds like fun, my current tractor had the gearbox and rear differential full of water, about 5l of water and 30l of hydraulic fluid all needed cleaning out and replacing. At least with the Kubota it's small so not too bad. Just add enough grease to cover everything well, then add a bit through the grease fitting and then every yearly service a few pumps will be fine. Then service the front differential and the gear cases with hydraulic oil and it should be good for a while.
@ErikISkogen8 күн бұрын
@@WilkoinFrance Not 75w-80 in gear cases? Im afraid of big leaks with just hydraulic in the gear cases/closest to front wheels)
@WilkoinFrance8 күн бұрын
So with the 4x4 models the gear cases need to have oil in them as the gears need to be lubricated with oil, as with just grease the grease is squeezed out and then the gears are not really lubricated. The front gear cases and differential originally use SAE 80 oil, but I used 80w-90 in mine. If you change the seals and gaskets on the side that had water in it then the oil should not leak out. The gear cases hold between 0.15-0.2 litres of oil each and the differential 0.5-0.7 litres. Only the king pin and the swivel hub are greased. After I changed all the seals and gaskets on the side that had no oil in it I added the oil, used the tractor a bit and didn't have any leaks.

@WilkoinFranceАй бұрын
@@jonbishop1385 No, no adhesive, the bump stop is a bit bigger than the holder so you squeeze it into place and it stays there. How do I line it up
@WilkoinFranceАй бұрын
Easiest is to slide the selector onto one of the gears and just mave the handle to the corresponding option, so line the tab up with the groove in the selector, then once fitted see if you can spin the pto shaft, you should be able to spin it by hand in the neutral position, if you have the wheels off the ground you should also be able to spin it a little in the wheel speed position, but not in the engine speed position.

Can you explain about the safety wire that you had to cut? I can’t seem to get the filter to unscrew and not sure how to unhook the wire.
@WilkoinFranceАй бұрын
The wire is to prevent the filter from unscrewing due to the pressure or vibrations I believe. The wire was twisted together, so hard to unravel that to unhook it. Easiest just to get some wire cutters and cut it, I cut mine in several pieces (not really visible in the video) in order to unhook it from the filter as well as where it secures inside the transmission housing. Then with a new piece of straight wire it's possible to install and twist back together with some pliers (obviously once you have replaced or cleaned the filter). My filter was also on tight so I used some small pliers to get some grip and loosen it off, it's not the easiest design.

The wood is probably Chestnut or Poplar which is used regularly in common housing. Normally the french use oak or chestnut for their flooring in high traffic areas but Poplar is also used in less used areas as it's very cheap, but it doesn't withstand bug or moisture attack very well:/ Looks like you've a load of work ahead of you. Have you thought about insulation on the concrete? Also I would consider building the wall to incorporate an inward keyed buttress, to help reduce the load pushing against the wall. I'm away from finishing my house also, as I'm still out in the barn fixing my MF35. I just collected the re-machined head yesterday. Your injection pump video was very helpful thanks:) Good luck😊

Thanks for the tip and explanation, the same wood has been used on all 3 levels, but as the upper levels are dry the wood is in much better condition. Can you lay it on its side like the thumbnail photo? To clean the deck, else how do you clean it?
@WilkoinFrance5 ай бұрын
I put it on it's side towards the oil dipstick side, same as a normal mower. Just don't turn the engine or oil will go where you don't want it. But you can also lift it from the front or back with a jack and get a pressure washer underneath to clean it. As it is a bit heavy to lift back up from having it on its side.
@one2three1235 ай бұрын
But the thumbnail picture shows it laying on the left side. Not on the dipstick side.
@WilkoinFrance5 ай бұрын
The thumbnail was taken when the engine had no oil in it so it didn't matter, but every time after filling it with oil I did tilt it the other way. You can tilt it the towards the carburetor too just a higher chance of filling the intake with oil and when starting it will smoke. In either case check oil before starting.

Hello, thanks for the video. I've noticed you've got the rear wheels facing "inward" which seems unconventional - I was considering doing this thinking it would gain me a few extra CM's of total width for a tiny bit more stability. What are you thoughts?
@WilkoinFrance5 ай бұрын
I had a B7000 tractor which had the wheels the standard way around and having used the B7001 with the wheels as shown it does offer some more stability. The tractor came like this when I bought it. It was better like this using it on slopes and hitting a bump didn't make me feel as though it was going to tip over, which I did sometimes have with the B7000. So in my opinion if you need the stability try it out and see.

So this mower would originally have come with a tiller attachment, meaning that you remove the blade plate, undo a few bolts as the engine is mounted on a ring, the handles are attached to the ring, which is mounted to the base with some easy to reach bolts. Then you place the whole engine, handle lot onto the tiller attachment, which is why it has a large engine. The mower part I believe is still a 19" cut, so not that small. This link shows the old ad with the tiller attachment: facebook.com/100064896901498/posts/2756074464413007/

There is a rebuild kit available, so it seems Tecumseh knew it was a weak point, however I have only been able to find the rebuild kit in the USA, making it really expensive with shipping, so as long as the screw fix holds I will leave it as it is. This is the kit that I bought: tracteurbits.com/en/electrical-componants/3099-dynamo-to-alternator-conversion-kit.html?search_query=TBA-6914&results=1 You can leave the voltage regulator in place, but disconnect it as the alternator has a built-in regulator, it comes with a new wiring kit, you can also buy each component separately too. I removed my regulator as it was burnt out anyway. I did have to change the generator pulley over on to the alternator, as the supplied pulley had the groove slightly too narrow for the belt, but both had the same diameter shaft, so no problem there.
