I'd be interested to hear what the plan is for I25 north of Denver. I've seen the center bus stops they are building near Loveland and Fort Collins, but I don't know what kind of service they are going to run.

Could the forest service go into a joint venture with Holy Cross? Thanks for the reporting - made me rethink about the biofuels plant, though I think they should look at carbon capture on it, which might not be financially feasible.

Decent journalism but it would be better if you were even slightly knowledgeable of the law and didn’t exhibit prejudice when covering stories. The fact of the matter is that Colorado and private lands here would not exist as they do today if it weren't for settlement of public land via the Homestead Act of may 20th 1862, which was never expressly repealed and is still valid law. (See section 702 of the FLPMA listing the repealed laws). (re)Public land belongs to the American people not the federal government who only manage it on behalf of the people. Believe it or not, the people that put up that fence have a valid existing right to claim and settle public lands. Meanwhile, those who are taking it down are actually committing a trespass and setting themselves up for a lawsuit. It appears that the local sheriff and the F.L.O.C. are aware of the true law of the land unlike these citizens taking down a fence and reversing 100's of hours of work. It is even enshrined in Colorado Statute which you all should take Notice of and read: See. C.R.S. § 36-2-101 through C.R.S § 36-2-118.

I came across this looking for a short segment on "Next" that Clark did on the importance of "Advocacy Journalism" maybe in August of 2024. Anybody have a link to that show or segment?? It was awesome. Oh and yes. Charity is awesome and most effective on the local level like Clark says here. BUT justice is the real solution and I think he gets that - that's why his belief in "advocacy journalism" in the public interest is key beyond the charity stuff.

Vote NO on Proposition 131 It makes a mess of our elections, and does not solve any problems. If the big money people are investing so much to pass Prop 131, then what do they expect to get from it?
@ClearCreekWoodDesigns2 ай бұрын
Not every big money person is looking for power. If they wanted power they would have supported Republicans and Democrats. The people behind this are supporting it specifically because they want to see less concentrated power. There is little personal to gain for those supporting it other than of a more stable democracy.

It solves numerous problems, and implements policies that have been used to moderate elections around the country. The Dems and Republicans are the strongest opponents - that should tell you a lot

So the "Free Land Holder Committee" just decided to claim land and start fencing it. No attempt to start in the courts. Sounds like some Sovereign Citizens work. Also, the "We claim this to be true, but for proof YOU go look up the evidence" always a solid start.

Lol. Yes. If by what you mean Democrats you mean the organization. Because in this case the current system benefits Dems and R's equally. The general public not so much.

Thanks Michael and Mike. When ozone spikes into the 80 and 90 ppb range, do the contributions adjust by the same proportion, or are local sources more impactful? Hard to say?
@MichaelColoradoSun3 ай бұрын
keep an eye on wildfires, which is the main big variable right now. High heat days, above 90 or 95, are the start; add in drift smoke from Canada, Pacific Northwest or Front Range fires, and you get a few more ppbs on top.

"Tick fever!!!" Did they examine cat for ticks along the spine!!?? I have had two dogs that had just the rear end paralyzed. A vet pulled a tick off my cocker spaniel's back in 1950s. Fory years later, I had another dog dragging around like this..1990s. Just a tick!!! I found a tick right on the spine and pulled it off. The dog was up and running almost immediately!!!
@gretafields47064 ай бұрын
A dog will drag its back half when it gets a tick on its spinal cord. Avet removed a tick from my cocker spaniel's back when I was a child. Then, 40 years later, I had a dog dragging around like this lion.. I removed a tick that was right on its spine, and it got well in no time. That was in the mid 90s. Tick fever has always been around.

Vet was going to put down my mother-in-law's dog several years ago in Colorado. She asked the vet to worm the dog first. The w o r m i n g of the dog was the answer the 120 lb dog could walk after that and had no more paralyzed hind legs. She walked normally after the worming

Wow! I just shared our rabbits that have same symptoms and they say to give them panacur (dewormer) and can stop the virus in its tracks. But unfortunately they had it for a wbile and the symptoms still remain. But that's amazing. Thank you for sharing

The wormer might have poisoned a tick embedded on the spinal cord. Just remove the tick!!?!! I had two fogs like this. My vet called it tick fever. She removed a tick. forty years later, i had another dog dragging around. I didnt take it to a vet. I pulled a tick off its spine and it was fine in no time!!!

_I know for sure I would've fed her too. I live in Colorado & I did however take food & water to a Coyote in poor condition once. He/she was spotted roaming the neighborhood for a couple of days. HOA sent the warning & risk of walking dogs or letting house cats out. Everybody in my neighborhood was on spook lol. I was a little paranoid too until I actually saw the condition it was in. It looked starved, dehydrated & could barely walk. It was panting & it was extremely frail. So after I calling the number they had for us to call, I put a full tote of water, a bowl of dog food with a few pieces of raw chicken & 3 egg yolks by the bushes I last saw the coyote creeping in & out of. All while being nervous as h3ll & probably shaking way worse than the coyote was when I was walking over there. My wife had my back though & stood watch with the_ * "keep the peace"* _maker lol. It actually turned out to be a good thing all around because it made it really easy for them to catch that Coyote. He/she of course stayed near the bushes after it ate._ {its where all the rabbit huts mostly were too} *Also, I didn't feed it from an up close & personal manner. Nor made it seem as if it was my intention to feed him at all. And most definitely, I would never feed a wild animal if it didn't appear to be malnourished, dehydrated, in its place of abode/inhabitants & capturing it wasn't a part of the authorities plan!* _I know that doing so could've otherwise put both humans, & that Coyotes life in serious danger for sure!_
