My grandfather was a very rich industrial in France and he knew very well Charles Bedaux, but he did not like him. My grand father created his own company in France and he made trains and planes with about 2000 workers. One day, Charles Bedaux came to see him to propose to work with him, so that to make the workers more productive. It is in that way Bedaux became wealthy, because he created a working system that he sold to great companies. So my father met him several times in the 30's, he had great dinners with him and talked to him a lot, but at the end, he refused to work with him, essentially for three reasons : At first, he learnt Bedaux murdered several people in France and in US, which did not please to my grandfather at all. Second, the working system he proposed made suffer much workers. My grandfather had good relationship with his workers and he did not want to lose this advantage. Third, Charles Bedaux was Adolf Hitler's personal friend and found nazism great for all countries, of what my grandfather disapproved a lot. He was a real democrat, he was not antisemitic and he loved his country. During the Second World War, while Charles Bedaux collaborated much with Adolf Hitler against France, England and US, my grandfather helped a lot of jews to escape to England for free and became a Resistant. At the end of the war, that my grandfather never saw because he died a few months before, the French army succeed to capture Charles Bedaux and gave him to the American army because he was an American citizen too. Once in US, rather to spend money from the tax payers for a trial about a war criminal, president Truman ordered to kill him in his jail.

Kelowna is not even a shadow of it's former self. Moving there in the mid-80's, it was a family paradise. Now, because of Mayors Gray, Shepherd and Basran, it is a cesspool. The junkies have taken over the entire valley, you can find a needle on almost any block - even in the country. Plus, by allowing all these developments, skyrises and carriage houses, the population has exploded, bringing with it, big city problems. Greed runs the place now, both by businessmen/developers, and drug dealers, absolutely ruining what was once a paradise on earth. They've taken away all the family fun aspects that made it great - Flintstones and the waterpark there, the Boardwalk roller rink, Malibu racing and arcades, Wild N Wet in WestBank, ... do they still have the go-carts, and the tank rental thing there along the highway? Or is it another golf course for the rich?

I like everything about this except for that horrid sound as it drove away! I haven't heard any other electric vehicle sound like that and if they did you probably wouldn't see any on the road. No way I could listen to that going down the road. Build me a silent one and I'm all in!

We did this for my 48th birthday last year and it was amazing. It brought back such great memories of my childhood going to the local arcade. Now my son is going to have his birthday there and he’s now getting to have the same experience I had. Except they don’t have to remember putting that quarter on the screen marking “next turn” like we did.

Mr. PG was made out of logs that came from the mill A factory worker (and we will not mention any names) got a bug bite on his back side and came up with an idea. with a chain saw in hand (actually in the back of his pick up) he cut pieces to use for the original highway 97 Mr PG. In the morning, when you came in to town, there he was, All Spruced Up.
