Glad to see how smooth it was to put the truck up. I have an 18 Crewmax and just bought the TL from Costco as well. Unfortunately for me the truck adapters, pinch weld blocks are accessories and have to be purchased separately. I bought the system because like you I have a low convertible (SC430) that I want to do the trans filter on. Im tired of two staging lifting cars and this seemed to be the most practical solution. Thanks for the video.

First time on your channel! That truck is not adequate for what you’re towing just because something is within the spec doesn’t mean it’s correct! if you’re using equalizers and your truck squats, there’s too much weight on your hitch! If you’re not using equalizers then it’s a menace on the road ! It’s not safe! You need to check the weight of all your gear and passengers Then compare to your GCVWR! I bet you’re over the limit! That’s barely a half ton truck! if you need overloads, you need a bigger truck! Sorry to Burst your bubble but been n the Tow business to long to keep quiet! You need a three-quarter ton!

Has anyone seen any issues where the speed of the lifts arent balanced so the vehicle won't rise in a level position?
@thomas78552Ай бұрын
As far as I know that's mainly an air in the lines issues. Mine will lift unevenly until there's literally any load on it, which makes sense, the hydraulic circuit is not independent so once one loads up it will shift load to the other until it's loaded too

I don't see this being any better than jack stands. Infact it's worse because it's way more expensive. The time it takes to set it up you could just jack it from the back or front or on the sides then slide some jack stands under it. I'd bet you can get it higher using jack stands. You got a lot of ceiling room if that door opener wasn't in the way you could go much higher.

Awesome video, I just finished installing a dw100 in my nb1, I soldered and heat shrinked the connections in the fuel tank, did you use regular heat shrink too? Im just terrified now that the heat shrink will degrade and ruin my pump
@bradscarmods2 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t be worried. Most types of automotive heat shrink isn’t effective by fuel.

Hi Brad thanks for the great video's I was was wondering did you think you would need the extended lift arms for your 7000 tl ? or is it just fine with out ? It looks good in the video for sure ...Iam looking to purchase one to and on the fence weather I need the tl or the tlx .extended arm version. I have a 2013 ram 1500 crew cab short box ... I think it is pretty close to your truck in length and weight ... what do you think ?

While I don’t feel the extensions are NECESSARY, I do feel they would make things easier and a little less finicky for larger vehicles like our trucks. Thanks for watching!

Sold. I have been thinking about these for my Corvette, but I wanted to use it on my Tundra, too. I wasn't sure if it would accommodate both. Looks like it will! P.S. I also am running Timbrens on my Tundra. They work great!

Brad, look into a weight distribution system with your trailer. It might help with the light weight front end steering issue.

In Australia, our local supplier only has the 5000 and 7000. I enquired about a 6000 for my model S but the supplier has never had orders for them so they will not be in stock here. I will purchase the 7000 with the extension kit, even with this, the 7000 is 200mm too short so I will cut the ext units and add 200mm to each one and re-weld them back together, Good info and 369 liked.

It did for me! But, I did figure out later that the OEM fuel sock that hangs off the bottom of the pump is better than the aftermarket one because the OEM one has an internal frame to keep it from collapsing on itself so I did end up buying a new one to put on after I filmed all this.

Disconnecting the fuel injection fuse DOES NOT depressurize the lines. If anything, stopping the fuel injectors from firing will actually increase the pressure. To depressurize the system you need to disconnect the fuel PUMP, and you can do this by disconnect the fuel pump relay or even by disconnecting the connector on the top of the fuel pump since we already have easy access to it.

You're not supposed to use the thread sealant on the elbow fitting. Not a big deal, but it's just what it says in the instructions. Also, the bleeding instructions say to first take jack up and down 3 times. Then open the screw to let the air out.

Why are you turning it backwards
@bradscarmods6 ай бұрын
Because it was a pretty course-tooth hole saw and going forward it was jumping around all over so going backward allowed it to more smoothly start cutting. We went forward again later to finish the cut.
