I am a Senior High school football player who lost 70lbs this offseason(333lb-263). First off failure dosent exist unless you except it, there are peaks and valleys and you so happened to slip one day and that’s okay. Secondly I can relate to you because i started a carnivore diet and made it almost two weeks before I broke that too. The things with these diets it is unstable to to make a drastic change in your diet when your body craves the processed junk that its been fueled off of for years. So how I went about it is remember eat less move more, and example of you know you eat a 20 pice nugget a large fry with a Large sprite, try a 10 pice nugget medium fry with a diet coke. Then you put yourself in a caloric dedicate but you’re still paying attention to the mental side of weight loss. Then over time you get your meats and you veggies and your rice, slowly trading off the food that isn’t so nutritious. My guy i was 17 and was pre diabetic at , i had high blood pressure, high cholesterol all that being said my future wasn’t bright. But after a physical towards the end of summer i reversed everything and my cholesterol levels where determined to be actually to low.Do not give up on yourself! You can, you will, you must. Please reach out if you wanna chop it up more, I plan on making a youtube right after football season.

You did not "fail" at anything. Taking a different dietary approach is called freedom of choice. Too many people want to tattoo "carnivore" or "vegan" on themselves, like it must become a part of their identity. Or a club that once you get into, you cannot get out of. You have complete flexibility and freedom to pick whichever diet you want.

I really don't see how vegan OMAD is sustainable for any especially an active man. I've tried it and left major gains on the table into my 40s. The failure is a WIN!
@AM1mediaАй бұрын
Salute to the transparency. I'm 46 coming from 15 years plant based. Switched to animal based keto/carnivore-ish less than a year ago. Animal based is THE TRUTH in my opinion. I'm basically revers aging. I love seeing young brothas on self improvement. Another thing we gotta address is the obsession with the feminine lil girl braids. Maybe I'm just old and not with the times but where Im from we only saw actual little girls wearing braids with beads like this. I'm seriously concerned with this generations perception on masculinit. Ive watched so-called red pill guys lose their minds over women not being traditional or being too masculine but at the same time watched dudes apopt more and more feminine traits and presentations. With all that said, I definitely salute you Josh and any brothas staying anchored in the time honored traditional of health and fitness.

I failed many times going whole food plant based, but my diabetes came back each time. So failure was not an option. You have to get real with yourself. You were fooling yourself eating all of that plant based junk food. To do it for real you have to eat beans, lentils, sprouted flourless bread, brown rice, potatoes, oats, fruits, and vegetables. WHOLE FOODS. The food does not taste great, but you won't get the disease that animal products and junk food causes.
@LayLayLaysiaАй бұрын
That’s okay! Sustainable change is the best change. Failure is giving up - and you’re not giving up. Your path shifted but your end goal is still the same and you’ll reach it in perfect timing 💪🏽

I totally get what happened to you. You'll never stick to a diet or physical exercise unless you genuinely enjoy it. I encountered the same problem time and time again. I currently eat vegan or vegetarian 5 to 6 days a week, exercise 3 to 4 times and I enjoy it because the exercise I do does not strain my body too much, the food tastes great even though I'm cutting the carbs and I know I have my 1 or 2 cheat days in a week where I can hammer into a cheeseburger or a peperoni pizza knowing I earned it.

The 7th day Adventists are often studied because they are health conscious, don’t drink alcohol or smoke, and eagerly participate in studies. The ADVENTIST HEALTH STUDY 2 found the more animal products the 7th day Adventists removed from the human diet, the lower the body weight and the lower the risk of type 2 diabetes. Participants: 96,000 Adventists living in the U.S. and Canada

A Harvard study: Association of Animal and Plant Protein Intake With All-Cause and Cause Specific Mortality. Researchers brought in a large group of people and they looked at the protein they ate and who lived and who died. They controlled for the cholesterol and the fat so they could look just at the effect of the protein. Conclusion: Animal protein is always associated with higher mortality. Plant protein was inversely associated with all cause mortality.
