The day the DPRK allows international travel to its citizens is the day I’ll believe this isn’t just propaganda.

Another glorious victory in the North Korean imagination... the North Koreans did overwhelm the outnumbered and under-prepared US defenders. For a start, the US did not have any Sherman tanks in the Korean peninsula at the time, Nor did the North Koreans destroy "3,000" US tanks and down "10,000" aircraft during the Korean War.

A science museum is a bit of a risk, no? After all, it forces the Norks to admit that the bulk of modern science advancement originated in the West.
@VirtuousMonkey19 күн бұрын
Not really. China, Russia and even the old USSR contributed a lot to modern science as it is today. If they wanted to keep it more legit they could just prioritise works from their allies.

All armies of the world including USA were totally annihilated by the massive might of the great North Korea. To say any different will land you in a political prison for life.

That's cute. The Imperial Americans started the war by assisting the true government of Korea defend itself when the North Korean army moved south of the 38th with no provocation.

Dumbo asks "Is that a real tank?" Off course not, it's a scale model numb nuts. But it does high-light how well done it is and how this panorama defies perception. Quite a few museums and galleries world wide could actually learn from this one. No I'm not a NK stooge but credit given where credit is due.

Though the general depiction is correct, I did notice a few inaccuracies as I watched the video several times. There were no M-4 tanks at Taejon as depicted. They did not see combat till late the end of July/early August. The depiction of KN troops advancing in waves carrying their flag never happened.

The Korean War is interesting. North Korean propaganda makes it sound like they defeated the USA by their sheer will to fight and “tactical superiority” which is not true at all. China was propping them up. Douglas MacArthur wanted to invade China as well but Truman wanted to just end the war before WW3 started less than 10 years after WW2. He knew that if the USA invaded China as well the USSR would have gotten involved directly or even attacked West Berlin

Seeing this panoramic painting on KZbin is impressive. To see it in person, I have no doubt would be extremely impressive. It’s just very sad that the NK propaganda and serious deception over the truth of that war overshadows anything nice in North Korea. The historical inaccuracy of what the tour guide said definitely allows the viewer to understand how NK simply hides any damaging truth towards their county. Oh how dangerous communism is
