Good vid I came across this as I intend to print parts that cannot be bought like custom VRM heatsinks for a very fast but strange chinese mainboard with an engineering sample cpu, this is the only application I would use it for, but have toyed with the idea of using the printer as a somewhat accurate measuring device using baby steps to map out the height of various components on cards with a view to make cooling plates for

I have a sff case (formd t1) no reservoir on the market fits so I will make a custom one

I wish I would have found your video last week. Working on a similar project but I made it way more complex than it needed to be.

Good PSA, was thinking to 3d print res. But true wa is make acryclic.

Silicone! I was wondering how could I make a solid but soft mold. :D Amazing! You rock! Also, interesting design :)

why don't you use a CAD software ...... it's easier and more accurate.

Out of curiosity. Is the part still working? Or has any issue occured?

there's a good reason to do that, aesthetic!. btw, what about resin 3d print?

Im working on my own 3d printed loop so far resin started cracking after 3 week in the liquid

How do you have only 75 subs.

Major Hardware 3D printed a flipping radiator 🤔 How about trying to 3D print a complete water cooling system? COuld totally 3D print even the barb fittings... reservoir, radiator 🤔would be really interesting to see the extent to which it could go

I don’t even need gears for lenses but I watched the whole video just for the geometry nodes tutorial. 😂

You're videos are such high quality, you deserve way more subs.

This is awesome. Gotta watch it a couple times to understand it all but im hoping you;ll be able to do the video to cut the shape

sure u can use 3D Printing for this :D but than use SLA/SLA Technics and not the AM concept of FDM Printers :D
@DescartesRenegade2 жыл бұрын
3D printing watertight parts with FDM is a huge headache. However, there are industrialized technologies out there that can achieve water tightness easily.

I spent too long thinking about whether I could, and not whether I should. 😅

If I ever pick up a resin printer I will probably revisit the concept!
@myleshatcher18142 жыл бұрын
@@printbed7082 id lend you mine if i could, would make for a great series like get a burner pc custom loop and temp test and see what kind of temps come out compared to resin printed parts.. great video btw the, very well scripted!
@printbed70822 жыл бұрын
@@myleshatcher1814 It shouldn't effect temps at all. We can't print blocks or radiators as those need to be metal for decent thermal transfer, so you're limited to water circulation parts.
@myleshatcher18142 жыл бұрын
@@printbed7082 could definitely do a distro or the housing for the gpu and fittings, itll be less about beating established main brand cooling parts and more of a can it be done. either way your video inspired me, i may need to print some bits ;)

You make it seem pretty quick and easy, I like ur video style with scripted step by step instructions Good Video!

Thanks! I picked a straightforward project to show the principle. It gets much harder when you're trying to cast concrete into stuff like lamp bases etc.
@iBlue0riginal2 жыл бұрын
Downvote for the clickbait. You are not 3d printing concrete. You are 3d printing molds.

Maybe resin peinting could provide a better end result, since i believe the prints are water tight and can ve more transparent than fdm but still it would not be a good idea for the same reasons you said on the video
@printbed70823 жыл бұрын
Yes, I definitely would have used a resin printer if I had one. It's much better suited to the job.

I do have multiple resin pieces in my pc and it looks great and were easy to make. It’s not beginner friendly, but really cool to have an amazing custom pc without breaking the piggy bank. I think it’s more about having fun during the process and having something unique in the end.
