Thanks for this great video. Mine makes a soft, persistent, and random (in terms of intervals) clicking noise throughout the day. Could that be something stuck in the blower fan?

It's so annoying as I can't access my own furnace. It's cycling on and off and I can't stop it with the thermostat and my landlord is away. My filter needs changing but in the meantime, on and off it goes, I guess forever. Such a dumb design fail.

We just replaced the capacitor in our marine air conditioner and the air con is making clicking noises and not running. We tried to run it before but it didn’t make any sounds, and concluded that the capacitor was broken and it was broken so we got a replacement with proper specs and all, but the air con isn’t running still, and it is making clicking noise. Please help!
@homecapricehc14 күн бұрын
It sounds like there might be an issue beyond the capacitor. Clicking noises often point to a problem with the relay or contactor. Double-check the connections and make sure the new capacitor is properly installed. If everything looks good, it might be best to consult a professional (we have a link in this video description) to avoid any further damage.

i have a portable AC and it keep going from cool air to fan air, its a new one and it happen so much time that im thinking in return it, what could be the problem??
@homecapricehc17 күн бұрын
It sounds like your portable AC might be set to "auto" mode, which switches between cooling and fan modes based on the room temperature. Check your settings and try setting it to "cool" mode only. If that doesn't help, it could be a sensor issue or a defect. Since it's new, consider contacting customer support or exchanging it.

It sounds like your AC might be short cycling. This can happen due to a few reasons: a dirty air filter, thermostat issues, low refrigerant, or a problem with the compressor. I'd recommend checking the air filter first and cleaning or replacing it. If that doesn't help, you might need a professional to take a look.

@homecapricehcАй бұрын
It sounds like there might be an issue with the fan motor or the flap mechanism in your Panasonic AC. The "bruuuh" sound you're hearing could indicate a problem with the motor or possibly something obstructing the flap's movement. It's best to have a professional technician check it out to diagnose and fix the issue before it gets worse. My AC is making a croaking sound, what do you think is wrong with it and what should I do now?

If your AC is making a croaking sound, it could be due to a loose or damaged fan belt, or debris caught in the fan. Check the fan belt for wear and remove any debris you see. If you're unsure or the problem persists, it's best to call a professional. We have a link in the description of this video if you need to reach out to your local HVAC technicians.

i have a tower fan and i had it ever since i was a child, it is a very old Star tower fan and is from the 1980s i assume, it has one feature that allows more air to be blown that modern tower fans dont have tho... that being, the outside vent. on new tower fans, the vent covers the whole front, meaning air can come out, but then gets sucked back in by the blower, which is definitely not what we want, so this Star tower fan was smart enough to only have the vent open on the right side, meaning it blows air out, but cant suck it back in, meaning it blows more air than new tower fans. and, for the noise part of tower fans, BOY DO I AGREE. my Star tower fan is noisy to an extend its almost IMPOSSIBLE to sleep with it, while my dad's Duux pedestal fan (Duux being one of the highest quality pedestal fan makers) is quiet to a point its pratically impossible to hear, but that Duux fan's front cover is made to be easy to remove, meaning any child can just remove it, so clearly, for that, thats a big win for the tower fan here, and in my opinion, even tho the Duux has more features and is modern, i still prefer that old Star tower fan.
@homecapricehcАй бұрын
Thanks for sharing! That old Star tower fan sounds like a real gem with its unique design. It's interesting how older models can have features that modern ones don't. Noise is definitely a big factor, and I get your point about safety with kids and pedestal fans. It's all about finding what works best for you!

I've got a window ac with short cycling problem in the afternoon. It works perfectly fine at night but during the day, especially in the afternoon it remains in the cooling mode for 5 minutes then switches to fan mode for the next 10-15 minutes. It doesn't show that it has switched to fan mode, the cooling mode simply stops working. Its an LG window AC which we bought 10 years ago.
@homecapricehcАй бұрын
It sounds like your AC is struggling with the higher daytime temperatures. A few things you might check: - Dirty Filter: Clean or replace the air filter. A clogged filter reduces efficiency. - Thermostat Issue: Make sure the thermostat sensor isn't misreading the temperature. - Overheating: The AC might be overheating due to old age or poor ventilation. Check if the unit is getting enough airflow and isn't blocked by anything. - Low Refrigerant: If it's low on refrigerant, it can't cool effectively and might shut down. Given that your AC is 10 years old, it could just be wear and tear. You might want to consider having a professional take a look or think about replacing it.

@homecapricehcАй бұрын
Hey! It sounds like there might be an issue with the swing mechanism of your AC. If the noise stops when the swing is off, it's probably something minor, but I'd still recommend getting a technician to check it out to avoid any further problems. Better safe than sorry! You can find your local HVAC technicians here: homecaprice.com/hvac-technician/
Short cycling every few seconds usually means your AC is low on refrigerant or the thermostat is faulty. Check the thermostat first, and if that's not it, you probably need a professional to check the refrigerant levels. @homecapricehcАй бұрын
That sound usually means there's an issue with the fan or blower. It might be loose or hitting something. Check the fan blades and blower for any obstructions or damage. If everything looks fine, it could be a motor issue. You might need a professional to take a look if you're not comfortable fixing it yourself. Feel free to fill the form here if you'll see that you need an HVAC tech to fix the issue: homecaprice.com/hvac-technician/
My through the wall LG AC Unit works fine until it gets over 85 degrees outside. At night, it cools fine, stays very quiet, but between 2pm and 7pm or so (the hottest part of the day), it starts to seemingly fail it's cooling power. I also hear a "thumping" (or muffled banging) inside the Unit during this hours, which I think has something to do with the compressor struggling or something at higher outside ambient temp (the first year I had it it did not do any of this and ran cool all the time at any temperature). Any ideas why the Unit starts failing to cool at higher over 85 degree temps and makes that "thumping" sound? Thanks in advance! 🙏😊
@homecapricehcАй бұрын
It sounds like your AC unit is struggling with higher temperatures. The "thumping" noise could be the compressor having a hard time dealing with the heat. It might be overheating or working too hard. This could be due to dirty coils, low refrigerant, or a failing compressor. Try cleaning the coils and checking for any airflow obstructions. If that doesn’t help, you might need a professional to check the refrigerant levels or inspect the compressor. If you need to find local HVAC contractors, feel free to fill out the form here: homecaprice.com/hvac-technician/
@johnm.4655Ай бұрын
@@homecapricehc I think you're right! I can hear the compressor come on now (4:00pm - 87 degrees), attempt to push the coolant though the front coils to cool the air, and then it thumps a few times and shuts down. But, after 7-8pm when it starts to cool down outside (80 degrees or lower), it starts cooling normally again. I will get someone to check the inside back of the unit, as it probably needs to be cleaned out really good, especially the coils of the compressor. It's been 3 summers since it was installed so I'm guessing there's a lot of debris or something inside it. Once "they" figure out what the issue is/was, and it's fixed, I will post the resolution here on your channel for future reference. Thanks for the reply! 👍🙂
@homecapricehcАй бұрын
@@johnm.4655 Yeah, three summers sounds quite a lot as it is recommended that the AC be cleaned at least once per year, so it probably needs some deep cleaning. :) And yes, if you can post the resolution, that would be super useful for all others to read in case they have the same issue as you. Thank you!
