Creo que Takumi no debe de ser tan odiado. Si bien hizo cosas muy fuertes (como tener sexo con Hachi sin que ella quisiera) no hay que olvidar que intenta ver el mundo de forma realista, y apoyarse de esa visión. Intenta hacer todo lo que puede por el, por su trabajo, por su imagen y por su familia, incluso si el niño no era de él. El odio a Takumi me recuerda un poco al odio hacia Junko, quien creo que no debe de ser odiada. Junko es extremadamente cruda en sus comentarios, llegando a ser hiriente. Pero opino que era muy buena amiga, porque apoyaba a Hachi cada que podia, fuera con una bolsa de arroz o con decirle la verdad de frente, cosa que creo yo las personas ven como ataque. A comparacion de Nana Osaki, quien dijo que queria tener a Hachi en su jardin, Junko aceptaba la autonomia de cada persona, y dejaba que las personas vivieran y la dejaran vivir. Si bien opino que no llegó a ser la mejor consejera referente a Hachi y Shoji, entiendo que era amiga de los 2, viendo desde su neutralidad el egoismo de Hachi y la irresponsabilidad de Shoji. Reira me parece que es tachada de Grooming sin motivo, ya que el grooming es acercarte a alguien menor con el objetivo de obtener un beneficio sexual. Sin embargo, Shin ya se habia prostituido, entonces Reira no buscaba un beneficio sexual porque ya lo tenia. Creo yo que mas bien queria algo diferente, mas emocional, caotico, divertido, emocionante, diferente, o algo que la distrajera.
