What ph neutral cleaner do you recommend for ceramic tile?

I've never liked the concept of mops. Only bought one a couple of years ago when a cleaning lady I hired insisted. Seems like it just moves dirty water around. Yuck! I got a Hoover Floormate about 20 years ago. Like the Bissel, It has very small tanks and takes forever to clean my floors. Then I bought a steam mop (with lots of the fabric mops). I found it picked up dirt left over after the Hoover. So, I retired the Hoover. Today, I steam mopped the kitchen. Then, brought the Hoover out of retirement and it picked up even more dirt. While the grout might (?) look a bit better in places, it is still a problem. The carpet upstairs will be professionally cleaned next week and while he is here, I'll ask how expensive it would be to professionally clean the tile on the first floor. In the past, I've tried my tiny steamer, an electric grout brush and brush cleaner. Incredibly time consuming and I didn't really see a real difference.

Hi! What tool were you using at the end of this video to clean the grout and what product got all that dirt off? Was it the Zep? Thanks!

Did you ever end up coming across a machine for residential use that actually does get into the grout?

I think this video came to me because I searched how to seal my shower. After watching I am glad I have hardwood floors in my kitchen. Even though they come with challenges too.

Hello. Do you know anyone really good and qualified to clean my dirty grout in the Austin Tx area? If so pls share the info with me. I hired someone last year and they weren’t able to get the dirt out.

Thank you 🙏 For those of us who are autistic & struggle with loud noise, this machine is a no go from my autistic perspective & need for quiet machine noise. Think similar to the quiet noise from an electric car motor / engine noise that is waaaaaaay quieter compared to a diesel or petrol combustion motor / engine 🙌👂

Same old story. Steam/hot water. Hot water does not clean as this guy lets you believe. Chemistry cleans. Try washing dishes and your clothes in hot water..yep still dirty.

Do you have your be careful about using a steamer on tiles? Do tiles ever crack? Thinking about trying the Bissell spin wave steamer.

Thank you for this! Had a mishap with our apartments carpet and though all hope was lost and we’d have to replace it but dying it to be at least passable vs an entire reinstall of carpet is a much better option for us currently.

Color sealing grout will solve the mis-matched grout repairs. penetrating sealers deliver very poor performance at protecting grout from future soils. Your presentation was well thought out and edited well.

Thanks for the video! Earned my subscribe. Curious, are products like Zep (acidic and alkaline) generally okay to use in a custom shower that has porcelain tile but is lined with a rubber liner? I just had house remodeled and just cautious as not to damage the rubber liner under the tiles. I honestly would assume so as many ppl have custom showers made as such but you never know.

I hope you can help me. I live in an apartment and my kitchen floor is driving me nuts. The building won't replace the floors and they are old, dirty with no shine. They laid peel and stick, but didn't bother to push them together. So there are gaps and if I don't scrap out the gaps every few months, I get baby cockroaches. Yes I know GROSS. I'm 65 and it's getting to hard to spend hours on my hands and knees to clean every gap. My dog won't eat her kibble unless I check it first. Did I mention this is the 3rd layer of flooring. Tiles are loose and I glued them. Can I use my Little Green Steam machine and a shop vacuum to clean these gross gaps. HELP!

I have had one for a few years. Your review is 100% correct. Perfect for the 800-900 sq ft first floor if you want convenience of battery (ie we have both corded and cordless Miele vacs and it’s convenience vs power). If you’re a person that has hard floor you clean with swiffer mop heads or old fashioned sponge mop, this Tineco was a great upgrade without the bulk of the Hoover. Also my battery life is starting to decrease, so I’m now looking into battery replacement sooner than later which is neither cheap nor easy to do. But over the life (and continued life) it’s served us well. Thanks for a thorough and fair review!

someone told me to use a carpet cleaner on my tile kitchen floor, because it scrubs, has heat and sucks up. what do you think?
@michaellohner23492 ай бұрын
Very few carpet cleaners are suitable for hard floors because there is no gap or squeegee between the nozzle and the floor. They may scratch and won't eat larger debris. Carpet cleaners are usually heavier and awkward in tight spaces like around the toilet. There is at least one machine from bissell with a dedicated hardfloor nozzle which is sold as the hydrowave in europe an the jetscrub in australia, though the hard floor part is not always included in the box and was unavailable in the uk. A carpet cleaner and the now discontinued floormates can soak the floor and pick up the dirt in a second pass, which may be a gamechanger for heavy stains while all the crosswave type devices are just a moist mop. The iFloor and the crosswave on the other hand can vacuum eg breadcrumbs at the same time which the older floormate can't.

i know you’re probably tired of these videos, but i find them very helpful. I wondered if you could test the ones that have heat now? I just wonder how much better they do with heat. i’ve got a steam mop and it’s absolutely horrible on my kitchen. I need something heavy duty scrubbing. I’ve got a bit of a hobby farm. my kitchen needs to be cleaned. I just don’t know what will do heavy work. After i got my steam mop, on the inside way into the manual it says “for light cleaning”. please help

I found a source in EU, seems to cost 8 euros. I bought one from ebay, got the original out by taking the foot assembly apart. Now I am trying to put it back together. Almost there but I have a little black hose hanging down from the body, can't remember where it inserts. If you see this please respond!!! Can't find a schematic anywhere... I got it put together! I think it might have been an overflow hose. Also, when I put mine bqck together, now it stands by itself. Whoever put it together in the factory did it wrong and the base just hung there.

provide link please.
@computerrepairguy2 ай бұрын
I just repaired one. One of the black hoses comes down to from solution tank and isn’t connected to anything. It’s to provide air intake to the solution tank. Otherwise there would be a vacuum and the solution wouldn’t come down to the nozzle

What a fantastic down to earth video review. My main reason to get a hard floor cleaner was to clean my 100m2 of floor Tiles and Grout. You were spot on when you said it does not clean Grout. Why hasn't someone come up with a hard floor cleaner that cleans Tiles & Grout...even if it means swapping Roller Brushes ( one for Grout and one for Tiles ) Its not that hard especially if its a "domestic version" of the big Tile & Grout Industrial machines.
