One of the best songs ever, I bought it on cassette, the album Works, with the silver cover, around 1979-80.

This tune is very sensual, passionate, romantic... This piece also reflects in my mind elements of the Art Deco period as well as science fiction scenes.

I know it's a cliché but I swear to God, if that doesn't take you right back to that point in your life. Pat was one of the geniuses that laid the foundation for why I went nuts being obsessed with music and being a guitarist. It was such a unique and vibrant, highly original style at that time and now. I was pulverized by this album. All the best fellow fans.

What a fantastic album. My first ECM. Thank you so much Chick (RIP), Joe (RIP), Flora, Airto and Stanley. But also a big thank you to Manfred Eicher head of ECM. Manfred and his label (Edition of Contemporary Music) sometimes called the European Blue Note created in the early seventies this great ECM-Sound. Airto's play here with his sticks really changed forever... my way of listening to the drums.

For over 40 years, "IT'S FOR YOU" is a true masterpiece example of great composing, fantastic musical talent and just superb listening pleasure, especially the 2nd portion of 4 minutes +- where Pat drops down a gear and blasts off in a 1967 Corvette big block 427 with side pipes, windows down, Tape player full blast on a country winding road to your girlfriends house. This album is in top 10 group of all music by Pat, Lyle, Steve, Paul, Danny, Mark, and all other musicians and engineers. Peace and Love
