You have to consider that the scores at the Russian competitions are EXTREMELY inflated, while the Americans were scored more fairly during their home competitions like at the US nationals and US Olympic trials, where the scoring is more comparative to the scoring at Worlds and Olympics. Melnikova and Gerasimova were very overscored on their beam routines, which would've scored around the low to mid-13's (13.100-13.600) if they competed those same executed routines at the Olympics. Same for floor with Melnikova and Listunova, they would've scored around the mid or high 13's (13.500-13.800) for those routines. Melnikova still struggles with her form on floor and Listunova still struggles with her floor landings (like on her double piked Arabian). However, I think the Russians were scored more fairly on vault and bars, but beam and floor scores are always inflated when competing at home. The Russians just don't have the same precise form as the Americans and they struggle with consistency as well since they haven't been able to compete in international competitions for 2.5 years now. If the Russians were at the Olympics, Italy would've still outscored them in the team final for silver, but they may have had a chance for the bronze medal against Brazil and Great Britain. There was absolutely no way that they would've challenged the Americans, Italians, Brazilians, or Chinese athletes in any of the finals (team, all around, and event finals) due to their poor execution and lack of stamina. Right now, they are nowhere close to the level of the Americans or Italians.

Suni Lee and Ohashi are the living proof that a gymnast can be explosive, flexible and graceful *simultaneously* . That' s what WAG is all about. It' s called being 360°. Doing unhumanly possible jumps without pointed feet is just extream tumbling, not WAG.

Dunne is pretty good but not great, Simone Biles is a plant & CREATION of the Gymnastics industry, she's good but not that great either. Rules were changed to favor her... why i stopped watching corrupt sports altogether... enjoy!

It sounds like you're trying to cope. Simone can't be that decorated especially in the Olympics as just a creation. She wins despite an industry against her. If anything the industry would plant and push Olivia because of her color (Caitlin Clark effect) and especially looks, but she is not at Simones talent level. What rules were changed for Simone by the way😏? Also let me clarify Caitlin is actually good but there have been better players her popularity at this level because of what I said. Hence Olivia would be a plant that makes sense.

@@rashb3994 Wrong.!! Simone’s “legacy” started when she did a performance that deviated from the natural graceful routine that gymnasts normally display. Her performance had mistakes but she was giving the win anyway. I been watching gymnastics for 40 years don’t try to correct me or my vision. Simone is a good gymnast but not what the industry is trying to make her out to be. And don’t compare her to Clarke. Basketball does not DEPEND on judges, gymnastics is subjective. As always a typical black person like you would defend her just cause of Simon’s skin color. Learn something before you write.

You whine about tradition when the truth is we change the game taking it past tradition, and you're fearful that tradition becomes irrelevant. Which it does sometimes which is necessary for the sport to go to new heights. And yes I will compare Clarke to Simone. Because if you say Simone is just solid, and possibly overhyped, manufactured and defended because of race, the same applies to Clarke. In basketball they hype her the same way they do Lebron. They try to make them both the center of the basketball world.

She actually does point her toes however she doesn’t have much of an arch in her feet. It makes her feet still look flat. Simone would need take full on ballet toe point classes to work on it.
