People like you that sit in the fast/pass lane while no one is in the other lane REALLY grinds my gears. You know what else gronds my gears? Doing that and not moving over still when someone comes up behind you and they have to go around you.

And they have a detector to know if you’re using a detector so I’d be turning it off well before I was on top of them. Cause there’s a ticket in itself for having a radar detector.

I had 1 do myself like that on I -64 about 2 weeks ago. Clear road & all just stayed in that left lane for over 20 miles until all us just pass it on the right. Too lazy to turn the steering wheel appears the drivers problem was. Professional driver ? No way.

I shouldn't help him. The description says, "V1G2 vs State Trooper". That is the Valentine V1 Gen2 Radar Detector. He was lucky. The radar detector was likely picking up a reflection off the side of the semi truck trailer he was passing. Without the reflection from the truck, he would've been much closer before the radar detector went off. What none of these videos show you is how many false alarms they received from the many things on cars and along the roadway that admit microwave RF. Also, they don't show you how many times the radar detector did not signal until they were right on top of or almost passing the police car.

I run a Uniden R8 and have never had a false KA alert. The only 'false' alerts I get are from the K band, which I have on for testing purposes(mazda im lookin at you). I pick up KA band signals miles away, usually even if the officer is facing the opposite way, in heavily populated, curvy metro terrain, and in the rolling hills/country. I am unsure about how well the V1G2 performs, but I have heard nothing bad about them. I heard they work better in the city than in the countryside. Also, I work with a lot of devices that use radio frequency. While you do make a point that the semi-truck may have bounced the radio waves off of it, KA is a very wide band when blasted al long ranges, and the V1G2 would have 'seen' the officer at the same point without the tractor being in that lane, but at a less powerful buildup.

@@cggamez503 That is all very interesting. I'm glad you mentioned your experience with the Uniden. I've wondered how they compare to the Valentine which tends to be more expensive. I have a Uniden R7 which I bought a couple of years ago and never got it put in the car. I'm going to have to get that set up before my next trip.

Pull it up in your files, click it, and click install. Simple really. You may have to allow unknown sources in settings but yout phone will wall you through that

They all had a purpose. Between traffic rerouting, Waze for waze purposes, and Joinr for tracking there were lots of screens.
