What a great idea! It’s been years since I read Les Miserables. Thank you
@biteatatimebooks2 ай бұрын
You are so welcome! I started the podcast because there are so many of these classics I hadn’t read and it’s been nearly 3 years of daily chapters. Les Miserables is a commitment for sure! I’m about 1/3 of the way through recording so it’ll be releasing a chapter a day for a LONG TIME to come ❤️

Out of respect for the community words like that harm, they have all been removed or changed throughout the entire book.

I was going to listen to your reading, but the fact that you felt the need to change words because some uptight yuppy loser might be offended changed my mind. Grow a set of stones and read books as they were written! Stop being a coward, find a little courage inside of yourself, and move forward from there.

These classic novels always make me wonder if they actually talked that way when the books were written. Or in 1813 when the book came out was this considered “fancy speak” 🤷♀️

It sounds like a news report not an audio book. There is a weird inflection at the end of every sentence that is strangely off-putting.

And that is the beauty of audiobooks. Everyone has their favorite style that they like and don’t like ❤️
