One of my favorite bands. So talented. They should have stsyef with Apple Records. Such a tragic history.

Anything from Badfinger I’m definitely going to give it a listen to.😊

Does anyone know from what time period this group is from? Judging from the hairstyles probably late 60’s to mid 70’s. I’m from that time period and even though I never heard of these guys, but I know what the music 🎼 sounds like from that era. This particular group has my approval and that’s why I thank Y-Tube for sharing these rare gems 💎 with us. Thanks for sharing this song 🎶 with us and…Keep Rocking!!!😊

I am laughing because this is soooo good. Their incredible groove is like osmosis to my brain & body. I hope whoever is releasing this wonderful material will know how much we appreciate you! Can you believe it...BAD FINGER still freaks me out how great they were and still are to this day! Shooting stars in an understatement! How we miss them but yet...they are so alive! No worries. 😊

Wow! Hearing these beautiful demos it hit me hard... To me, the magic combo was Ham and Evans. Then later you throw in Joey Molland and boom! I completely get the genius of Badfinger now. The real CD's (and a pair of headphones) of all things Badfinger and beyond. Plus a real stereo is even better! :)

True talent even in the raw stages still FREAKS ME OUT! What breath of fresh air after all these years. Thankyou Bad Finger Boogie Boys! Top shelf musicians and songwriters to this day. My hats off to you forever. 😊

Very interesting. I'm loving all of these Tommy tracks coming along. I'm intrigued ad to who's putting them out. Got to be something to do with Marianna I would think. Wouldn't it be great if all we old Badfinger heads could convene somewhere for a weekend bash!

AMAZING!!! Tom was ahead of his time in composing certain demos.

Thanks for this. It's brilliant having all of these previously unheard Tommy/Badfinger tracks popping up.

Wonderful to see the progression from this demo to the finished version. What talented writers Pete & Tom were. Such a loss💔💔

Wow, what an excellent alternate version. It feels like hearing another brand new Straight Up song for the very first time! Makes me even greedier of wanting to hear any other Straight Up outtakes or alternates - I really hope they are out there somewhere...

Although it’s a rough, bordering on unpleasant recording, I loved hearing it. Pete and Tom could have made it a potential hit.

That was as heavy as it got back then. Cool picture-I’m relatively sure that’s the Cavern Club. 2 SGs, two Marshall Stacks and a Fender P? Glorious!

I didn’t know they carried on after Pete’s suicide. That sounded great and I agree with @iconoclassicrecords

Yeah, there was a 4 year gap until Tommy and Joey reconvened as Badfinger. They came up with some good stuff, especially Tommy's Lost Inside Your ,Love, my opinion. However, even if Mike Gibbins and Bob Jackson had been involved (and they ought to have been), it was never truly Badfinger without Pete.
@brianmoulton309319 күн бұрын
Nice to hear this. I think the Airways version of this is the best post Pete Ham so-called Badfinger track. Pete would have loved this one from Tommy and it's such a shame that they never got to record it together. How this wasn't a hit I'll never know.

It’s good to hear his voice. I’ve been listening to a ton of Badfinger lately, which is a statement about Tom’s talent in and of itself.

Badfinger had that impossible to define element all bands are searching for-99.99% fruitlessly. Tom was a huge part of their “magic.”
