Wrong… The Masters Transfusion recipe from the Masters bartender: Fill a glass (preferably a highball glass) with ice at home… at the course a solo cup or whatever drink container you have available. Add 3oz vodka, 3/4 oz grape juice, and lime juice. (For those who prefer a fruitier, slightly sweeter kick, add an extra shot of grape juice to taste.) Top with ginger ale to finish.

If you include simple syrup and shake the ingredients, isn’t this a Tom Collins?

So it's soda or sprite with lime mint and sugar is a choice.
@pawanrana88663 ай бұрын
Originally the cocktail had only sugar and soda but many bars use sprite instead because it is both carbonated and sweet making it more easy to make

I would pour concord grape juice at the last over ice - then you see the transfusion occurs ..... So add vodka, lime juice, top with ice, then ginger beer, then slowly pour some grape juice

I actually made a white Russian with my girlfriends French vanilla coffee creamer when i ran out of heavy cream one night. It's my new favorite! The best cocktail recipes are discovered when you're hammered.

No go on sugar... Opt for simple syrup which is sugar heated in water and cooled. I would also stir the pressed mint, lime, simple syrup, and rum first then add club soda.

This is very good advice, Also wanted to note Gin is good instead of rum.

I agree it looks much better aesthetically floating the cream on a White Russian. Do you drink it that way, too? Or mix it before drinking?

Shaking is good for getting more out of the lime wedges, but shaking and muddling is what causes the small bits of mint leaf after it's been strained. I prefer to build and muddle in the glass, then all the mint pieces are large and won't get drank

I like how you emphasize the ultimate goal to just make a cocktail that you like the way you like it at home. And yea, I agree, if you're coming to my house and I make a cocktail for you from my curated bar, I would be really mad at you if you make a comment on how I grab the ice. But if this is supposed to teach people working at a bar, yea, you probably wouldn't touch the ice cubes.
