Have you tried the Program reset?

@@garyssprinklerrepair several times. I did get the clock time set correctly, but it doesn't keep time. Not sure why?

Turn the dial to start time…..then use the program button to chose which program you want….scroll to midnight using the plus or minus button and the start time for that program will be gone. @@evks82 I wouldn’t recommend that, because if you ever need to replace the entire valve you might need to gain access to the piping below ground. The concrete makes that very difficult with little to no space to get tools below ground to cut pipes. Hope that answered your questions. The timer is telling you to make sure the wiring is connected correctly for an installed rain sensor. If you have no rain sensor installed, open the panel and locate the sensor switch (top right) and move selector to bypass. Hope that helped you out. I don’t speak your language, but I think you’re asking where would you find the battery, correct?

Turn the dial to water days and use the “minus” button to remove days and the “plus” button to add days you want to keep. Hope that helps

The colors on the timer will usually dictate the (colored wires color) normally the common is a white color. One wire from a valve goes to the white and the other wire goes to a colored wire. Let me know if you still need help. Don’t forget to Subscribe to my Channel for more great content.😁

There is no polarity for the solenoid wires, either one can go to the colored wire. As a rule I always use the left wire to go to common and the right wire to go to the colored wire. @@garyssprinklerrepair So much better. Disconnecting all the excess wires and starting from scratch made that way less intimidating. Now to fix the leak coming from my new valve install and the 3/4 in coupling I had screwed in.

Turn the water off, go by another valve. Home Depot and Lowes sell “Lawn Genie” it’s the same valve as Irritrol. Take the top off the new valve remove the spring and diaphragm, swap them with the old parts. Put the top back on, slowly turn the water back on. @@720johnspe you might try unplugging it for a few minutes, then try again. Btw why are you trying to reset it?

Yes, on the newer one you’re right. On the older version it clearly stated each zone needs to have a start time that follows the start time and added run time that came before it. So as to not overlap. Guess more than a few struggled with the concept hence the updated version.

@@rawrtravisrawr if you remove the top of the valve. (Water off obviously) Then remove the diaphragm, you will notice the plastic yellow or white pieces are missing. Replace the diaphragm, reassemble, turn the water back on. Should be problem solved. Let me know if you need more help, and don’t forget to Subscribe to our Channel it helps us out too.✌️

@@rawrtravisrawr typically we always replace the valve. The quick fix is to save time and usually does the trick for most homeowners fixes. Is your valve a Rainbird? Have you fixed or had someone else fix a broken lawn pvc pipe on that lawn?

@@garyssprinklerrepair yes its a rainbird :) but we had a sprinkler guy come out maybe about a year ago, not sure what exactly he did but ran us $200 so trying to fix it myself instead of another pricey visit, this valve in question does look newer then the others (new pvc fittings/glue and much cleaner then the other 2 near it) i wasn't home for it but the bill said he found and fixed a broken pipe in the area, unsure if it was part of this one i believe it stopped working recently as i just barely noticed the section of grass dieing in the past few weeks could it be another broken pipe underneath? i hear no water movement through the valve when i turn on the valve versus the other ones

Not sure if I completely understand the question. If the valve wire colors are let’s say (left to right) red, orange, blue thy might be blue, red, orange on the timer. You could always change them on the timer to be red, orange, blue then you know they correspond to the order of the valves. Hope that helped

Unplug the timer and plug a drill or blow dryer (ohm meter) into the outlet. That way you’ll know if you have actual power there. The battery will create a display but doesn’t have the power to run the zones. Hope that helps, be sure to take a minute to Subscribe to our Channel for more info.

Double check you’ve programmed a run time for zone 3 in the correct program. If that doesn’t work it’s either a wire issue or solenoid issue. Let me know if you need more help, don’t forget to Subscribe and tap notifications so you’ll know I answered you.

@garyssprinklerrepair I think it might have been a solenoid issue. I messed with the wires a bit and it started working. Thank you!

@@bbqjones cool, double check all the wire nuts are tight. Irritrol valves had an issue a few years ago with the wires shorting at the top of the solenoids. (Lawn Genie) homeowner version made by the same Co.

@@allenhumphrey6970 turn the dial to start time, next push the right arrow it should show 2-A with no start time…add your desired start time using the up arrow and push enter. Return the dial to Auto…..done. Don’t forget to Subscribe to our Channel it helps us a lot.👍

Very possible, this is a pretty old timer. Are you remembering to turn the dial back to auto/ run position after doing the manual program?
