Why does it feel like the window is so big on your plane, whenever I try to flim it just shows a part of the wing, never the engine?
@dav198 Жыл бұрын
I guess it depends on how far away the seat is from the engine, in this case, I was a bit further from the engine.

ahhhh I meant like the front fan of the engine, so like in 737 you can never see so much of the front fan.@@dav198

Or its probably that my phone camera is located in the middle so when I stick my phone up to the top it will only just show where the middle should've been. So with a camera on the side like apple phones sitting on the left would be easier to film.@@dav198

Me too, I'm glad I got to meet you on that flight! They still use the jetbridge but with a different parking arrangement (parallel to the terminal).

If it cant be hard to slap on techy winglets to dated wing desighns on aircraft, surely it can be so difficult to go the the howl hog to NEO up dated aircraft... soo many new technologies out there now today to radically modified old aircraft including the 757 varients..boeing is being really numb & lazy to not jump at massive chance in the industry to not awesomely modernize the 757..
@dav198 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I wish there was a 757NG or something like that (with updated engines, at least). Instead, we got the 737... when the 757 could at least be a better competitor with some new engines (and maybe some other mods too)... sounds a lot easier too (at least to me)
@DarkLime4209 Жыл бұрын
@@dav198 yea well Boing already has great MoM solution Potential in the 757 varient.. Just look at the amazing things airbus has done with the modernization of the A330 NEO Products.. even the A330-800 neo has great MoM potential, don't know why more carriers aren't investing more in to the incredible capabilities & features that aircraft has on offer.. Instead Boing thinks another 787 varient is an MoM Solution. MoM stands for Middle of the Market, in aviation terms.
@dav198 Жыл бұрын
@@DarkLime4209 Agreed! I'd take a 757 (or even 767) with new engines because of their potential. To me, the 787 just seems to be too big/strong for a MoM and the 330 doesn't seem too popular...

When do these big planes switch to climb power and what percentage is it normally
@dav198 Жыл бұрын
It depends (for both). Normally they switch to climb power around 1,000 feet. I'd say around 80-90% is climb power. All depends on the flight and the conditions.

Your right. Those 757s are fast. Pilots say they are the hellcats of commercial aviation. They say they are way over powered. Another plane that has alot torque and thrust are the 737 max in my opinion. I can remember flying on a SW 737, that the pilot said over the PA, that they literally just took delivery of it. He did a rolling turn onto the runaway, didn't completely stop, then take off. As soon as I heard those two GE engines at the sound of full throttle, and that little hum sound, I was immediately pinned back in my 💺. The plane was almost empty to. It was a blast, this was in 2018. I can remember I was flying from Portland, Oregon to Phoenix, Arizona. It was the last time, I have flown to.
