Some of it comes down to Celtic pretending to be a politically conscious club. Performatively waving palestine flags while having employed more Israeli players than any other club in Scotland (possibly the UK), including Iraelis who have served and actively support the IDF (likely having killed/attempted to kill Palestinians) It's all virtue signalling. If Celtic really cared about Palestine they would have kicked Nir Bitton out on his arse the minute they discovered he served IDF... and yet he lasted 9 seasons and was frequently awarded the armband 🤔 Celtic are nothing like St Pauli. (That said I do commend any Celtic fans who truly do support the Palestinian cause, as I understand you aren't in charge of your clubs decisions)
