It is sacred to Hindus, Jain's and Buddhists.. All of them worship Shiv in some form or the other.

​@@VeganSanatani Yes thats true. But the earliest statues of Avalokiteshvara (now known as Shiva amongst hindus) have all been found in buddhist viharas and in buddhist temples. Shiva is originally from mahayan buddhism from where Hinduism copied it. Show me 2 temples or statues of shiva that existed before Buddhism (older than Sanchi Stupa ~200 bc). Give me any to temple names and you will win the argument.

@@CaptainGeek5 The Shiv Murti you see is based on the description taken from Yajur Ved, Shyam ved, Ramayana and Mahabharata.. I don't know what makes you think that Shiv is a property of Buddha.. But what ever dude... What ever helps you sleep at night
