hi, im considering a cb400x or a xmax 300, may i know which one has more off the line speed from 0-60 etc? and also during peak hours lane splitting is it easy?
@prowood124 күн бұрын
xmax has better off the line (pickup) speed 400x has better top speed both bikes would be similar in splitting lanes, but the 400x is slightly wider due to the handlebar’s width. you should consider machine price, maintenance costs, convenience. auto/manual, chain/belt drive, storage/no storage etc. cheers.
@AzraeiSY11 минут бұрын
I'd say Xmax has a better pickup speed, but its only marginal I think. Lane splitting no issue for me, I commute daily via CTE so its daily lane splitting during morning and evening rush hours. I have no problems with it. I'll try to get in a morning commute video soon

Is this the 2022 version ? I'm considering this or the HONDA NX 400 2024 , other than the front fork and TFT display what's the different ?
@AzraeiSY2 ай бұрын
Yes mines the 2022 version. For the 2024 NX400 you still get the same Showa front Forks as 2022 CB400x but the TFT display is the main difference and also switcable traction control. Besides that it boils down to aesthetics, which will be down to your preference Depending on your budget, the NX400 is about 27k-28k OTR including COE.

@AzraeiSY3 ай бұрын
Hi there. For me personally I have no trouble getting the mainstand up and down, but maybe its because I'm pretty big and heavy myself. My mainstand is from Lim Ah Boy, so its not an original Honda mainstand. I heard aftermarket mainstands are harder to bring it up, from what I see in the 400x group chat and talking to other riders, but no issue for me personally. Can I ask where did you buy your mainstand from?

Bro, with side panniers on, still able to lane split? How much did you pay for your ride? Buy from boon siew or external dealer?
@AzraeiSY4 ай бұрын
@@bensong87 hi bro i’ve never put side panniers before so I can’t give you my input there but I suppose the general rule of thumb is that if your side panniers isnt wider than your handle bars, then you can lane split as usual. I got it at a machine price of 15k from Yew Heng excluding COE. Boon siew currently no stock of the 400x. Your best bet are external dealers but i dont think alot units left.

does the windshield block the wind sound when riding high speed
@AzraeiSY4 ай бұрын
it depends which windshield and the placement of the camera. The windshield in this video is stock, so its pretty short and I had the camera angled around chin/face level so its taking in all the wind and thats why you hear the noise. Maybe I should have put music over it!

@AzraeiSY4 ай бұрын
@@carlchua7656 negative bro, the temperature has 6 bars and by default its always on 3 bars. even when I did 12 hours of delivery in the sun, 8am-8pm, it has never gone up 1 bar in Singapore. The only time it went to 4 bars was when my friends and I went to Malacca and we were cruising at 130km/h for most of the duration, that was the only time it went up to 4 bars. Otherwise in SG, its always 3 bars and it doesn't get hot.

@@mysterioswagger haha make him even more itchier! 400x is a solid bike well suited for SG roads. hi fellow rider here completing his 2A, is the bike still considered short for a 179cm guy, 95kg? Also, is that a portable at your windscreen haha and also if u dm asking, how much did u buy this new bike hahaha
@AzraeiSY6 ай бұрын
im 178cm and i can comfortably flat foot this bike, and im heavier than you so I don't think you have an issue. As our height is similar, you'll definitely have a relaxed posture while riding, but I did add a riser, because i found the handlebar to be too low for my liking at stock height. i had to stretch my arms straight, so with the riser it allows my arms to bend and just overall more relaxed posture. I got it at a machine price of 15k excluding COE. If you're looking to buy new, the COE is lower as compared to when I bought it. Used 400x tends to have higher mileage as its a workhorse and people tend to use it for deliveries/touring, plus personally I'd always prefer buying new, than used. And yes its a portable, i just kinda slid it in there.
@pitpomitangSS5 ай бұрын
thanks for the reply! How do u find the new 400X after riding for more than a year? Especially riding to Genting(I saw your Genting video). Also, is having a pillion with this bike for prolonged periods very tiring as compared to your 190X?
@AzraeiSY5 ай бұрын
@@pitpomitangSS its been a year and 3 months and i still love this bike dearly. The bike had no trouble going through twisties and bends of Genting. I played between Gear 2-3 to make my way up. Ideally more power would be nice but bikes with more power tend to be heavy, and not so nimble, not to mention the cost. I bought the bike to fit my needs which is 99% riding in SG so whenever I travel up North i just make do with what I have and that suffice for me. Cruising at 120km/h - 130km/h is the sweet spot. I have had pillions on this bike before, but riding within SG only. I can;t find anything qualms about it from a rider's POV. Usually i ride below 90 and 2nd lane if i have a pillion but there's still enough power left should I want to overtake and maintain above speed limit. The 190x....to maintain at 90km/h with a pillion, its already screaming for help la bro HAHA. Definitely not tiring on the 400x

Hi. may I know what's the comfortable cruising speed for 2 up & its max speed? Thank you
@AzraeiSY7 ай бұрын
Max I've been was 157km/h with this bike at NSHW. For 2-up, I never toured 2 up, or often pillion but I am pretty big sized and I personally cruise at 110-120 when I was touring. But I think that's more of a habit or preference as I don't really like to speed or put too much stress on the bike. 110-120 is comfortable for me. I know of other riders doing 130-140.
@ahsiao47287 ай бұрын
@@AzraeiSY Newer model looks sharper & nicer but some there were some discussion of being lower down in power which have yet to be verified. Been considering this model but just afriad its not enough for 2 up unless I'm doing your speed. Shock needs to be upgrade to for me if I am getting this bike due to heavy load Thank you
@AzraeiSY7 ай бұрын
@@ahsiao4728 i agree with you the stock shocks are soft even at the max setting, For this model there's YSS and Ohlins options available. If 2-up is your main objective and going up North pretty often, you're better off considering the Tracer 9, or the Transalp 750! I don't know if i can recommend the NC750x as the power difference from the 400x is not significant
@PuikiaLee7 ай бұрын
Those bikes too big for me as their seat height is too high. I’m overwhelmed by the weight & height. Prefer bikes that are more manageable . 120-130km/hr cruising is enjoyable & good enough for slow touring. Better to be safe then sorry lol

Hey there nice video! I film with the same camera. Are you editing with your phone or computer? I found the best settings to be filming in 5.7k 30fps, with HDR turned off and then exporting to the highest resolution and quality (bitrate) as possible. Not sure if you turned the wind reduction off in the camera, might help with the wind muffle noise.
