At the risk of a duplicate post, I wouldn't trust my hunt to Google Earth. Some shame those who use it, but I'm a heavy OnX Hunt user. I don't leave on a hunt or a walk in the woods without it. You didn't mention it, but do you use a Zoleo or similar when you're hunting Solo?

Great video as usual Todd - you're quickly becoming one of my favourite hunt channels. QQ - how come you guys don't use your load shelve and opt to pack in the main area? .
@toddharney19 күн бұрын
@@mattgarner1234 Good question. I don’t like dealing with rearranging all the straps and such to use the load shelf, and there’s almost always enough room in my pack for meat so that’s where it rides. Never bothered to wash the inside of a pack either.

Todd, I've been a long time subscriber. You truly have exceptional content man, and capture the boom and bust of modern day hunting. Far superior to the "Meateater" celebrity BS you see these days. It's utterly bizarre you don't have more subscribers. Keep up the great work man! Cheers from Eastern Montana.
@toddharney19 күн бұрын
@@skippydirtyleg9322 I know you’ve been tuning in for a while, your name jumps off the screen to me. Thank you. Maybe I’d have more subscribers by being more “socially correct”, showing less raw meat in the field, using clickbait titles (calling every animal a GIANT seems to work well for some channels), or making more of an effort to ask for subscribers during the videos. Instead I’d rather just keep it real and let the numbers fall where they may organically. Thanks again Skippy Dirty Leg.

Have you tried putting the top together and lifting before putting steaks? Is this possible so ya dont have to walk on side. The vertical poles pin down bottom tabs. Then go around pull taught and add steaks? Id like to get this just dont like walking all over it.

Hey bro, if you don’t mind, think about removing the Idaho hashtag. #stopgeotagging the areas (including state) that you hunt. I mean think about it please! The locals thank you…
@toddharney24 күн бұрын
@@TimberTramp Nonresident tags have quotas and they always sell out no matter what. The number of NR hunters in the field in any given unit are based solely on limited tag quota. Therefore, my video stating that the hunt took place in the state of Idaho has zero impact on NR hunting pressure or harvest rate. Residents are going to purchase their tags and hunt regardless. If general tags were unlimited for non-res however, I’d completely agree with your argument. We took two average bucks on a general season hunt - it’s really not that impressive. Harvest stats published by F&G are more revealing than Idaho being in my video title.
@Delmiester16 күн бұрын
Hey bro, if you don’t mind, think about removing the dumb comments before you post them. Although you might have a point; nobody, ever, thought about hunting in Idaho until folks started hashtagging it on their KZbin videos and other social media pages 😂
