Played this with my brother's memorial video. This is 100 percent our lives in a song. Do your best. And do good even when you know nobody cares. It's a seed planted. And that seed could be a life saving tree for someone you haven't even met.

The first time i heard this song was my first time four wheeling. My friends took me, his son, and two of our friends into the hills at 1 in the morning on halloween night. We drove for hours, drank the whole time, shot his 45 revolver into the night sky. This song is the soul of the greatest moment in my life

I saw them in Baton Rouge in 1971. Awesome show with Lee Pickens standing on a huge amp jamming with his guitar.

Browne writes music way ahead of his time, a pure old soul and that's why he music transcends generations. Keep going, you still have got more music in you

The original version of this is so much better than the 2017 remaster, far more atmospheric, less is more.

I am obsessed with this guitar solo. It makes me think of beautiful flower sprouting from a pile of ordure, like a story I read, I think it was the dung heap by Maupassant. What a song.
